Item: Coach Classics stewardess bag
Listing: 260860481760
Seller: texasbaglady2
Link:http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-VINTA..._CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item3cbc7f10e0Comments: I'm looking for an old version of stewardess bag on ebay because I wanted thicker leather than the renewed lines but I needed advice as to whether this is an authentic. Thanks in advance!

The bag looks OK but you need to ask for a clear picture of the creed.

Seller states "#50P-9525" is on the creed - but the number "5" in that position is NOT correct for an authentic Coach.

Her story does not hold water. You can ask her to e-mail you a photo and she can do so.

Actually, I had a problem with this myself - when I sent an eBay message to a seller and sent my email address for more photos, eBay's filters blanked my address out, even in the body of the message. I had to get a little creative in sending my email address - spell it out, or figure out some other way. Not sure why, but I guess it's for buyer/seller spam protection. ?

My guess is that it's ebay's way of preventing sellers from doing off-ebay transactions, thereby saving fees and keeping ebay from getting its piece.

I'm not comfortable with aprilgem888's listings because I don't believe the pictures in the listings belong to the seller and therefore, don't show the items that the buyer will receive.

The wallet in question is described as used yet pictures show a new wallet.

Other listings have all different backgrounds and photographing styles.

For future reference, please use the posting format requested here as it's helpful in searches for seller IDs and items: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-694619.html#post19464109
Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!

If the authenticators could take a look at my most recent vintage find, I'd appreciate it!

Could you please post the measurements of the bag? And is it possible to show the side of the bag from a little farther away and turn the strap maybe a quarter-turn so we can see the type of clip the strap has? A photo or description of the back (if any) and inside pockets would help, specifically if they're open or zipped.

Was anything dusted over the creed patch to lighten or highlight the stamped part?

First, thanks for being so detail oriented. Here are some more pictures. Nothing was dusted over the creed by me, and I see no indication that someone did so when I look at the bag.

Approximate Measurements:
Height: 7.5"
Width: 11.5"
Depth: 2.5"

HA! Silly me...I was thinking a little too altruistically. You are probably very right. Ebay fees ARE a chunk.

They all look okay.

Note that #2 has what appears to be a numbering system for her inventory and the number in the description is not the style number of the bag.

I agree with BeenBurned. Please be sure to read the fourth seller's Feedback before bidding. Most of the problems seem to be happening in the last 10 months. Here's Toolhaus' full history:

Thanks! I was was wondering about that second bag. It's good to know they're all authentic :smile1:.

EDIT: Thanks Hyacinth. I've used Toolhaus before but often forget to check. I see what you mean!

I have one more that I requested a creed for and it was just posted.

It looks like a genuine Convertible Clutch. I'm not quite sure when it was made since the "Made IN U.S.A." stamp is unusual and I don't know the exact time frame when it was used - late 1980s would be my guess.

With older Coach bags, small details like pockets and strap fastenings are important because Coach stayed with simple classic designs for much of their early history, and some bags are so similar except for size, strap details and pocket details that there's no other way to tell them apart.
