1. It's a "well-faked" style and a better picture of the creed is necessary. Tell the seller to use the macro function, indicated by a tulip or flower icon when taking closeup.

2. Looks okay to me but it's not my area of expertise. Please wait for Hyacinth or DemRam to confirm.

3. Please wait for other opinions. The creed bothers me, both with the stitching and the thickness of the text and serial number. It could be the lighting and angle but when compared to this listing made in the same month, year and factory, I can see differences.

#2 looks fine. It is the Prairie Bag and it's from 1996.

Thanks, BB and DemRam. I will see if I can get a better creed of the Hamptons tote (and if not, I will stay away from that one). I also see what you mean about #3's creed looking a bit different than the linked bag above.

The only thing I said was to Search the forum. The answers are there but you have to look for them.

A lot of posters don't realize this, but most of the regular posters here have answered the SAME question and others like it dozens if not HUNDREDS of times. The forums here all have Search features, and most of the first posts in the forums tell posters to please use the Search feature before asking your question, because the answers may already be here and because whether people realize it or not, it gets very frustrating and even annoying to have to keep repeating the same exact thing over and over and over.

When I post a link, that's when it's time for the person asking the question to do a little simple research rather than asking the regulars to lose another five or ten minutes of their lives that they'll never get back again by answereing the same questions they've already answered dozens of times.

We don't mind people asking questions, but only when the answers aren't already available. It's NOT fun having to repeat the same thing over and over. There's probably more good information (mixed in with a little nonsense) at these forums than anywhere else on the internet about designer accessories, and the posters here are wasting all that accumulated knowledge and experience unless they learn how to look for it.

And you don't have to try and remember everything - all you have to do is learn how to find it.

If you have questions about using the Search feature, just ask, and always remember to choose the "show posts" link if there is one. Don't be intimidated by it, it's only confusing the first few times. Once you get the hang of it, it's a great tool.

Please read the very first post on Page 1 of this forum for instructions on how to format your request. And we need photos of the inside, outside and creed patch of the exact item you're asking about. Nothing can ever be authenticated just from a serial number. Thanks!

And the number inside any bag can be faked, it doesn't really "verify" anything.
