Here's a couple more photos to add to previous photos posted. Even if you have no clue if its real, I appreciate ANY thoughts. Thanks so much
The creed alone is screaming fake - it's NOT made of cowhide, and the Neo bags all had creed statements unique to the line. The front plaque is WAAAAAY off center, and 2002 seems much too late for Coach to still be making the Neos. The incorrect style number is another big problem, and that B plant was probably closed long before 2002. I have to say fake. Any time the description of the bag doesn't match the actual material that's a bad sign.
I don't know if anyone here is an expert on the 1970s bags. Usually even if they didn't have a creed stamp they would have had a small metal plaque usually fastened to the leather on the inside back panel right near the top. Are there any marks or indents that show something may have been fastened there at one time? The little "clamps" would have been on the right and left edges of the plaque.
Without that there's probably no way of knowing. It's not a style that was unique to Coach although it does look a lot like a Convertible Clutch, and in the 70s Coach used several different ways of marking their bags before they went to the stamped-on creeds. All I can say is that if the measurements match there's a really good chance that it might be an early Convertible Clutch especially if you can find the marks where that small Coach nameplate would have been attached. Here's a post that gives you an idea of what the nameplate would have looked like:

1. Looks okay pending a picture of the creed.
2. Might be okay but more pics are needed, esp. the creed
3. Wait for other opinions.
4. Need more pictures but her comment in the description, "purchased at NY market" scare me.
Don't report any yet, though.

#3 - I don't know of any Sig Optic with such a large C pattern - have to say Fake
#4 - That 2-tone strap color combo hasn't been used for 3 or 4 years and was only on the Hamptons Weekend bags from around 2007 AFAIK. There's no way it would be on a newer Op Art style. Fake.
#s 1 and 2 are probably ok.
I recently had a red Equestrian Slim Bucket authenticated by Hyacinth (thanks again). I have a quick question about it. I went back and bought it from an antique shop. The bag is absolutely beautiful. I have a question about the strap. After getting it home and examining the strap, I think it might be a replacement. Could you please take a look and let me know if it matches the original? I am thinking that it looks like it would be too sloppy for Coach workmanship. I am just curious so that I know how much effort I am going to put into cleaning it up and bringing new life to it. If it is a replacement, I think it still looks pretty good and I will still love it. Thanks!

It looks like part of it was re-sewn. Maybe whoever owned it had it shortened, it seems that just those parts attached to that elongated O-ring(s) were redone. I've seen a lot of older bags with the straps shortened.
Coach lists the end-to-end strap length as 39 inches so if it's measurement is less than that's probably what happened.
Hmm, end to end, the strap is 51 3/4 inches long. Elongated O-ring to elongated O-ring is 39 inches. The color on the strap matches exactly to the color of the bag and all the stitching everywhere else on the strap is perfect. I am just baffled on the backside of just above the elongated O-ring. It's kinda weird. I love the bag and am very satisfied, I am just really curious. Thanks for you help.![]()
