The creed looks funny on this one to me, but it may just be a bad picture.

Item: Madison Sophia

I think it's a bad picture. Looks like it was bought from a department store - does anyone know which store uses red reduced-price stickers?

When you compare it to the creed on this bag from a seller who ONLY sells genuine Coach, except for the month codes the creeds look identical, at least as well as I can see the out of focus one:

The seller really needs to re-take that creed pic.

Yes, Dillard's uses those red stickers.

Title:Authentic Vintage Green Coach Handbag w Matching Wallet

Notes:
Strange creed on the wallet, it's the one from the bean bag key chains! Creed on the bag looks suspect too...

The wallet's stampings are all wrong and it shouldn't even have a creed stamp AND it's a fake style too. The month code on the bag is totally wrong

Please report.

Is this one authentic?

And this one from the same seller
Item: Coach Soho leather belted Bag 4156 (navy)
Item No.:190516678281
Seller: le_franco_ricain

Thanks!

Both are genuine. The first one is a Compartment Bag Spectator from around 1989-1990, and the second is a Soho Belted Pouch from 1997.

Fake.

And YKK stamped on a zipper doesn't mean a darned thing - obviously even fakes can have those. Don't ever use that to figure out if a Coach is real.

AND YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT LIST IT AS A REPLICA !!! SELLING FAKES REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY'RE DESCRIBED IS AGAINST EBAY RULES AND AGAINST U.S. FEDERAL LAW. That fake can NOT be sold ANYWHERE in the US.

These are Ebay's Rules:

I realize this is not facebook but if someone could applaud you for saying that right here right now Im cheering!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

I'm just telling it like it is.

And I wish everyone who think selling - or buying - fakes is ok because counterfeiting is a victimless crime needs to read just these one or 2 pages from "Deluxe - How Luxury lost Its Luster" by Dana Thomas about what investigators and law enforcement officials can find when they raid some fakes-manufacturing operations, followed by a note about where the money goes and to whom:

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this Coach briefcase? I bought it for $4.00 at a thrift store. Just wondering if its authentic or not...thank you in advance! (sorry so gigantic) Zippers ARE YKK.

This looks like the Double Zip Organizer Brief which sold for $496.00 in 1997. The style in the catalog is No. 537. The catalog states: 44" adjustable strap detaches. 16 3/4" x 11 x 4 3/4".

Does COACH supply shoulder straps?

Only for very limited styles like the classic leathers, not for special styles with unusual construction, design or colors.

Thank you Hyacinth. I will call COACH tomorrow and see if they have one like the eBay listing in the link below.

VINTAGE COACH BLACK "LEGACY SATCHEL" YEAR 1998

I see a lady quite often that has this bag that she won the auction for at our local Goodwill store. It is missing the strap.

I don't know this lady personally but we must be on the same schedule because I run into her a lot. I commented on how nice her bag looks on her.

I would love to be able to give her the strap if I can get it from COACH.

You can get similar non-Coach-made replacement straps from Silver-Coach on Ebay or Bonanza too, in different lengths and hardware colors, but they won't have a buckle adjustment. They're good quality and less expensive than Coach's though, and they carry all kinds of replacement parts for Coach, check their Store listings too:

Wow thanks!! I measured it, and the measurements match up. So do you think its truely authentic? Right now I'm like  but I want to make sure before I tell everyone about my find!
:ty:

The "shortness" of the creed looks odd to me......
