What bothers me is (other than the strap being put through the buckles the wrong way - that 180-degree bend at the ends shouldn't be there, that's not the way those straps should be folded and fastened,) is the creed patch says the bag was made in China but the plant code in the serial number indicates a US plant. It may just be a mistake, and that may be why it was sent to the outlet stores, but authenticity can't be proved because of that discrepancy.

It looks like a genuine Small Slim Duffle Sac but the serial number has a mistake. Maybe it was just a case of someone not familiar with the western alphabet using the wrong code. Probably genuine, but not marked the way it should be.

"Do you know what style name it is? I cannot find 9826 or 9326 online"
The style is from 2003 so I doubt if you'd find many online. The style code is 9326 but even the font on the 3s looks a little strange, unless that's just the lighting.

Just wondering.. this is an authenticity question.. I have sent reports of a few coach purses one that has been labeled by you guys as a fake and some by me as an obvious fake. however they are continued and still in the bidding and people are bidding on it. Does ebay just say they read it and go on as if none of these reports never happen and allow fakes to happen on ebay? That is nuts!

Yup, something like that. :graucho:

Let's put it this way -
remove a fake listing = no fees collected by Ebay
let a fake item sell = lots of Ebay and Paypal fees, and let Paypal worry about it if the buyer learns it's fake and files a claim. If that happens, PP just writes off the loss on their taxes.

Never EVER forget that Ebay is just in it for the money.

So very sad but true.

Hyacinth said it beautifully.

The only ripped off buyers ebay cares about are those who file disputes. THen those buyers get refunds. Other buyers who don't know any better remain as suckers and ebay (and the sellers) laugh all the way to the bank.

Yea sort of sad. Ebay definately has a lot of fees. I have sold 1 coach item. I bought it from the outlet myself and changed my mind and sold it cus it would be cheaper than to drive it there back myself. It had the tags on it still and everything. I don't know why anyone would want to say its a coach and not know it or any designer purse and not know it. I once saw a coach madison black leather hobo with the creed scribled out all over i black perminant marker. That was mean!!! What a drunk! I have lucked out with all my purses I bought because I only buy ones that I have studied in the store and waited for them to post cheap on ebay. I dont buy ones that I don't know. Im unsure of one however. Only because I got such a great deal on both. They normally go for way higher prices...

Coach hamtons carryall and cosmetic case

Hi I know this is a real bag because my sister has it. However right before this listing if you look at her feedback she sold THE EXACT SAME THING!! And they said she lied and said it was dirty. Just need advice.. Should I buy and take the risk of a fraudulent multi seller selling the exact same thing she doesn't have? Do you think someone just returned this item and she's selling it again? I just asked why there were two. I just sent the question but needed advice. Thank you!!

It appears that the seller, jfer_00, sold the bag and case in this listing on November 21:

The buyer probably returned the item and left appropriate feedback for the seller after receiving a refund.

Presumably, the previous buyer wanted to warn future buyers that the items aren't in good condition.

Now the seller has relisted, still describing it as being in "good condition." Her description does have a bit more information regarding stains but IMO, it probably still seems to minimize the extent of use and there aren't enough pictures in the listing.

For used items, sellers should have many clear and definitive pictures showing the extent of use.

And to comment on your statement, "I know this is a real bag because my sister has it," I'm not sure how you know it's real. There isn't a clear picture of the creed and none of the other pictures are detailed enough to prove authenticity.

what do you think? price too good to be true? I did ask seller for dimensions and a photo of the inside creed.
Hmm. I agree that as a NWOT bag, the price appears very low but so far, I don't see any red flags.

I am concerned that meredith555 sold the same bag on February 9 and she left "prompt payment" feedback for the buyer:

So I wonder why it's for sale again. I would ask the seller why it's available again.

Also, please post a picture of the creed when you receive it.

ok so i don't know if i can include this much information... She did just send me an email stating that she had an issue with the previous buyer and that this wasn't a duplicate listing. The other listing is what I just now noticed which Im glad i did. She has 100 positive feedback even though it has a nutral feedback on there?!? And she only has 20? If this is too revealing for the seller please let me know and i can remove this. My sister got hers in cali at an outlet mall. I loved it and wanted to get one.. but it is a little cheap for something my sister spent so much money on..
