If you mean the one with the multicolor leather stripes, there were several genuine styles that were often copied by the fakers, and I've probably seen more fakes in these styles than real ones. Most but not all have serial numbers that are on the Fakes List. These are the real ones - 6780 - Wristlet, 9298 - Ergo Pieced Zip Bag:

Thank you Hyacith! The style of these striped bags are very clean and uncluttered. Now I know what to look for. Hope I don't find a fake.:smile1:

If this is an auction listing we need the URL of the auction or online sale. See Post #1 all the way back in this thread for the needed format. Often the seller's history is just as important as the photos of the bag they say they're selling.

The seller REALLY needs to provide better photos especially of the creed patch and serial number. If the serial actually does end in -6122 then the bag is fake. If the seller wants your business she needs to take large clear pics using her camera's Macro setting.

Assuming the number is correct (and often it isn't, a lot of people make mistakes copying and writing down numbers) I'd have to tell you NOT to buy that bag.

No, it is from a Seattle Craig's List post. She did indicate to me that the photos were taken with her camera (yuck) phone and that there is a possibility that the bag is fake. I just did not want to drive 2 hours from home to buy a potential authentic bag, just to find out it's not.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my concerns/questions.

If she's admitting that there's a possibility that the bag is fake, she probably knows it's fake but doesn't want to come right out and admit that she's breaking the law.

If I were you, I wouldn't drive 2 hours unless she sent more pictures and better quality photos.

Hi experts I am looking to buy this coach bag but not sure if this bag is authentic. The care card looks a bit different from the ones I got from my other Coach bags and I feel there should a logo on the front of the bag. I am not sure though.

It it's fake I would want to report to the website cause I absolutely hate people selling fakes claiming it's guaranteed authentic.

BeenBurned - I got a fridge magnet like your avatar! My husband bought it for me :D

Actually, I found what I was looking for. The bag is definitely fake.

The style number is 9244 and it's from 2006 so I don't even think the 2005 date code would be possible.

The lining is supposed to be red, not brown as on the CL listing.

Here's what the authentic version looks like. (This is a completed listing.)

Please flag the Craigslist listing as "prohibited."

ETA: I found the listing and she describes it as "inspired," which it is NOT. It's counterfeit and illegal.

There aren't enough pictures to determine authenticity. It's a fairly "well-faked" style so we need to see front, back, legible creed, sides, hardware, bottom and lining.

Note that not all bags have an imprint or logo on the front.
