Seller: Melytin

Comments: Bag I'm interested in is the 6th picture down when looking at enlarged pics. I think it's called a daypack purse. Reg No. G7M-9960.. Let me know if you need better pics of anything. I have one more bag from this lot to post which I will in a few minutes. I also have a Coach that I did not buy on eBay that I want to post for authentication as well. I really appreciate you guys. Plus (N.Molnar and others) thanks again for all the tips.
Thanks so much.
Jeanne

Here are some of my pics:

Looks good to me. It is the "DayPack" from 1997.

Wait for other opinions to be sure.

Comments: Bag I'm interested in is the 5th picture down when looking at enlarged pics. Flap purse. Reg No. 0244-339. I believe this is one of the older purses from the 1980s which had individual registration numbers (instead of style #s). Let me know if you need better pics of anything.
Thanks so much.

Here are some of my pics:

It looks like the "Devon Bag" which is style 9908 and measures approx. 9 x 8 x 3.

Probably made in the late 1980's by the serial number.

Wait for others to comment.

Personally, I don't recommend doing business with a seller who doesn't use her own pictures in her listings. All of this seller's listings use stolen stock photos. If the seller was able to take pictures and send them to you, then why didn't she include these photos in her listing? I see a discrepancy between the second picture that's posted in the listing and the pictures she sent you. In the ebay listing, the picture shows a price tag attached (yet the listing says Pre-owned) and there is no tag in the pictures she sent you. Without knowing whether the pictures are even the seller's own pictures, I can't recommend buying from crystaljust4u.

Thank you starrymaz! I thought it odd that she wouldn't just use her own pics in her listing.
The other thing that made me wonder is the creed, don't they usually state the process to get the type of leather the bag is? Her listing states 'gelato' leather but the pic of the creed says it's full grain leather.

Comments: She sent in some great pics to me and there is crooked stitching along the top pleats, maybe I am being too picky?

You're welcome. The creed doesn't always state the exact process to produce the specific type of leather. Some styles may have creeds that state the material more specifically than others. I believe "Gelato" refers to the way the leather was finished - it's still cowhide leather.

-Thank you, again, for clearing that up, starrymaz :sunshine:

Welcome to tPF! In the future, please use the format indicated in Post #1, pg.1 of this thread as this makes it easier to search for items and sellers:

I've reformatted your post below:

Comments:

A "Top Rated Seller" should know better than to use stock photos. There's no way to authenticate this bag because the listing only uses stock photos stolen from the Coach website. There are no actual pictures of the bag. I don't recommend buying from a seller who doesn't use her own pictures.

I agree with DemRam, the other Coaches seem to be ok.

Comments: The seller posted a pic of the creed where it clearly says made in Turkey in the creed, but in the sellers description she posts the correct creed number but says handcrafted in USA...just wondering if I have anything to worry about?

Someone ended up BIN the bag I was waiting for a creed pic of :( I was going to place a bid on it this morning without the pic but someone beat me to it so I'm on the hunt again!

The seller just replied to me saying that yes it is the bag that was made in Turkey she missed changing out the handcrafted in USA when she copied her description down from her other listings.

Thanks Hyacinth. So I guess I'm pretty lucky with only 1 fake out of the 4 Coaches I bought. I am contacting the seller about the fake. I am also checking out the Dooneys tomorrow. Anyway, thanks so much for your help. Now I just need to start listing those Coaches. Thanks again.
