They all seem to be ok but it would be nice to see the creed stamp on the last one.

BTW, the second one isn't vintage if the seller posted the serial number correctly. That bag was made in 2003.

Hihi,

I just exchange my bag for this denim Zoe yesterday and when I went home I discover that the C logo is different from normal. Everything is ok except for the logo. So I am quite worried. Is this normal for denim? Thanks gals.

Hi Ladies!

I have a history question. Does Coach make handbags in the U.S. at all anymore? If not about what year did they move outside the U.S.? Also, a friend of mine who owns a consignment store received a "new' Coach which still has tags on it and the creed states made in United States. Along with the feel of the leather (plastic feel), I told her I thought it was fake due to creed stating made in U.S. and being "new." Am I wrong? The bag's "C" structure would look alot like Hop's post #933.

Thank you so much for all you do on here, I am learning alot from just reading the posts!!

Item: NWT! COACH Madison Metallic Leather LG Hippie Bag 14638
Listing number: 280502833477
Seller: savannaht1999
Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280502833477&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Comments: I know this seller has 0 FB and I don't have a problem with that since we all have to start somewhere. :smile1: Other than the lack of a clear picture of the creed, which I will request, are there any other red flags on this auction? Thanks!

Offhand, I think it looks good.

At first, I was a little concerned because she has 3 listings with 3 different backgrounds for the gallery picture but the other photos look good and she has similar photos in her completed listings.

(Some of her completed listings do use copyrighted stock photos as the gallery photo but her other pictures within the listings look fine.)

AFAIK, all Coach's US plants have been closed for a while. The last US-made bag probably dates back to 2002.

But NO Signature C pattern bags were ever made n the US so I doubt very much if the bag your friend looked at is genuine. Unfortunately, looking at a similar bag usually doesn't tell us a thing about the authenticity of a completely different bag - we always need to see photos unless we know the actual serial number and recognise it as a known fake. But there's no doubt that a bag with Signature C fabric that has a Made In US creed is fake

You said you "exchanged" it - where did you buy the bag? If it's from a Coach store or authorized retailer I doubt if there's any problem. There are small differences in C patterns - please post a photo of your receipt and the creed patch inside the bag using the Macro setting on your camera.

Thanks, BB! I had emailed her to ask for additional pictures, which she said she would take and post as soon as she ran some pressing errands. However, in the interim someone else came in and did a BIN.

Frankly, I'm a little relieved. I love the look of this bag, but I don't know if I would actually ever carry it. I'm a 45 year old librarian, and that metallic leather might be just a little too-too. :graucho:
