Wow, you sure find some different ones!

I don't see anything that indicates that it isn't authentic although I'm not familiar with the bag.
Sellers description for the bag:
"You had to buy a top-end Lexus with Coach leather interior to get one of these. I believe Lexus said the MSRP on the bag was in excess of $500. Not crazy for Limited Edition, genuine Coach.
This bag is approximately 10 years old as I believe the model year of the LS 400 was 1999 or 2000. "

Comments: Already mine, hoping it's legit. ;) The only reason why I wonder is b/c I bought a new one today that has a fabric Coach tag sewn in and this one doesn't. It's pre-owned though so was possibly cut off (of course, questions I should have asked prior to bidding, my bad!). Thanks!

It's fine.

I assume you're talking about the brown label that is sewn on? If so, the seller may have removed it if she didn't like it to show when she wore the scarf. Or another possibility is that it could have fallen off. Those labels are only tacked on the corners and the stitches do break.

Thanks. Yes, that's the tag I was talking about. I was assuming it was cut off too but I wanted to check, just in case.

Is it a known fact that the Lexus Coach vehicle that was made had associated products?

Looks like if they did, they put "L" at the end of the item # to indicate it was Lexus provided....

It's completely genuine. I even remember the ads. And 503 is the style number of the Large Cabin Bag.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lexus_LS

"...Production of the second LS 400 followed the same time frame as the original, lasting from 1995 to 2000, with a midcycle refresh in 1998. For 1997, a limited "Coach Edition" LS 400 was produced in partnership with American leather manufacturer Coach Inc. The edition featured Coach leather seats; embroidered emblems on the exterior, floormats, and armrest; special colors and added trim; and a Coach cabin bag. Production was limited to a yearly run of 2,500 units..."

It's a great bag too. I paid over $100 on Fleabay for a used one that my DH has taken on every road trip we've done since. It was the one thing that finally made him understand my Coach obsession. Since then he's "permanently borrowed" my Berkeley Briefcase and my Metro Bag. :D

(The regular Medium and Large Leather Cabin Bags would have gone for $552 and $618 in 1999, BTW)

Strange looking to me, but figured I'd throw it out for authentication..

I'd have to say Fake. It should be a Small Hippie Flap, all solid leather. If Coach had made a striped version it would have had a different number.

Look at the stitching on the edges of the stripes - definitely NOT Coach quality, and the leather even looks a bit puckered along the seams. The creed stamping looks fake, the plant code is for a Chinese plant, not a US plant, the serial number font is wrong, and that style wasn't even made in 1996.

I think we talked several times about fake Hippie Flaps back at the Ebay Purses board a few years ago. A few other ones we found had weird leather & fabric combos too, and incorrect year and plant codes just like this one.

ETA: Just checked the Answers thread - post #355 mentions this exact serial number:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sh...enticity-questions-94198-24.html#post11763206

Any bag (especially any in the Hippie Flap style) with a serial number of H6S-9135 should be referred to the posters at this board for authentication. The style number belongs only to a Leather Hippie Flap bag but the ones we've seen with this number are either the wrong fabric or have invalid code digits and badly-stamped creeds.

Looks like this one has both.
