Seller won this bag in an auction. This is her response " actually won the bag at a charity auction to benefit the Arts. It had the Coach tags on it, and was one of the less expensive prizes, so I certainly don't believe it is not a genuine Coach bag. My advice would be to take it to a Coach store and see what they say". I don't think the seller sold the bag knowing that it is fake. She also noticed the difference when i pointed them out. She has been more than helpful.

Bought on ebay. Would like to know if its real or fake. No serial number on inside tag. Price tag state HMW swingpack silver and the bag is teal. Makes me think it is more than likely a fake, but someone elses opinion would be great. Any info or help much appreciated!!!

It's authentic.

Some of Coach's smaller items may or may not have creeds. And those with creeds may or may not have serial numbers.

I didn't respond earlier because I don't know of the existence of different lining colors. I don't know whether there are instances where Coach has used different lining colors on bags.

But based on the construction, stitching, hardware, creed, font, etc., I don't see anything to indicate that it's fake. But I also can't state (unequivocally) that it's authentic either.

In this case, I'm not sure that taking it to a Coach store is going to be too helpful. If you tell them you purchased from eBay, they'll probably pronounce it fake based on their previous history of hating ebay. Additionally, I'm not sure that the employees know enough about the minute details (i.e. lining colors of various colors and lines of bags) to offer helpful information.

Edited to add:
Is it possible that this variation might have been an exclusive color combination made for a particular department store?

Is the picture of the creed in the Photobucket link a picture the seller sent you?

The seller should have included a creed picture in the auction along with pictures of the back, bottom, sides of the bag, the hardware, and closeups of the logo plaque and hangtags.

Yes the creed image was sent to me from the seller after I asked for it. I'll ask for more pictures of the handbag itself.. but before then, how do you think it looks based on the images given and the serial number?
