Item: Coach Briefcase

I found this at my SA today, it was expensive for the SA ($40!), but it had such thick, yummy leather (and was HUGE compared to most vintage bags!), so I just couldn't leave it behind. Not to mention, I was needing a new work bag anyway :) I hope it is authentic, if so, any info you can give me on it would be appreciated. It has a gusseted pocket under the flap that runs most of the length and width of the main compartment, one small flap pocket inside the main compartment (on which the creed is stamped) and a slip pocket that runs the full length of the back. It measures approx. 16"L X 12"H. If more pics are needed just let me know. Thank you all again for all that you do!

The first thing I noticed was the weird "stretched" leather that shows on the flap.

If the number doesn't match...you have your answer.

It is a Metropolitan Briefcase made in 1996. Appears to be British Tan.

"Someone" contacted the seller and she removed the listing. The number is also on the Fakes List as an "always-fake", that serial number has contradictory plant and date codes and 7414 belongs to a Mercer. The "S" plant is in China and wasn't open in 1994 and they weren't making Mercers in 1994 either.

Comments: is the lining on the inside zipper area suppose to be sewn differently than other coach bags (the bottom of the lining inside the zipper area is sewn upwards where you can see the stitching it's like two pieces of lining sewn together but it doesn't look sloppy at all where as other bags I have are one piece lining and only sewn onto the zipper area--if you know what I mean)?

Comments: Seller said she was TPF member with name inch37 and I am pretty sure it is authentic cuz it feels and looks really good but it does have like a sweet leather smell different from other leathers but this is my first croc leather bag so don't know if its suppose to smell like that or not...and also the creed and hangtag is stamped kinda light--is that normal?

All I can comment on is the keychain, which is genuine.

BTW, the second bag isn't crocodile, it's croc-embossed leather. Genuine crocodile would cost at least 4 times as much and would be mentioned on the creed statement.

If a_lawyer_4u is really a lawyer, she should have learned about intellectual property and copyright infringement in law school. She should know how wrong it is to use copyrighted work that belongs to others. In fact, all her listings use at least some images that are not her own.

I don't care if she's MPRS or any other "recommendations." I cannot recommend a seller who doesn't do her own work.
