You will have to wait for someone familiar with the older Ergo line to come along.

The bag looks like an authentic "Ergo" and it was made in 1997 - but I don't know the actual Coach name for that one.

:smile1:

Did you even bother to go to the Coach website to look it up? Or do you expext these ladies to do it for you? What is so 'odd' about this? This Legacy Zip bag has been one of Coach's Classic Favorites for 3 decades and STILL IS...Please check the Coach website and do your own search, to see that my statement in the listing, is accurate.
The Coach website has a little search bar in the upper right hand corner after you open up their home page. There you can type in 'Legacy Zip 9966' and there it will be. It's real simple. Go ahead and try it... Hope it isn't too hard for you.Good Luck...

Wow. If this is the way you conduct all your business, with condescension and attitude, I'll make sure to recommend people to steer clear of you. There is NO call for this type of behavior here, when someone was just asking a GENUINE question. Guess you wouldn't understand that, though, unless you'd been burned on a fake bag. Real classy.

Jerri, re-read my response. I didn't say you SOLD fake Coach and Dooney. I said you LISTED them. And the fact is that you DID list fakes, knowingly or not. (It was your "other" ID that listed the fake Dooney and it was reported, relisted and pulled multiple times.)

YOU HAVE ME CONFUSED WITH SOMEONE ELSE! I don't HAVE another sellers ID and I have NEVER sold or listed a Dooney.I have NO CLUE WHAT YOU Are talking about and apparently, neither do you. You need to watch making false statements like this. Why do people just make things up? It always amazes me...Where I come from it is called 'slander' ....I am quite sure that it was a 'friend ' of yours that started the whole post about the Brown LZ, for the SOLE PURPOSE of degrading 'the seller' who has 660 100% pos fB and is a TOP RATED seller. So just give it up.I have LOTS of shipping to do...The Brown LZ went for 157.99...gee...you guys are killin me...LOL!

What you are doing is no better. Just give it up? You're the one that came here to start conflict. If you hadn't, it would of just went on to the next item in question like this thread always does. Chew on that for a while.

If you have a serious issue with what's been posted I would take it up with the moderators/Admins rather than coming on here and making a complete fool of yourself.

It doesn't take long for some peoples' true colors to show. does it?

Jami, this seller's Ebay ID is well-known at Ebay's Shoes & Purses forum for her sharp response to anything that she considers personal criticism. Her other response is to simply have her posts removed, sometimes the entire thread if she was the original poster. She also doesn't think much of any "experts" on ANY forum - see my response - and others - here:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/reputable-coach-sellers-on-ebay-22468-32.html#post13612668

As for burned on fakes, let's just say that one or two fakes have crept into her listings although none were actually sold. She's no longer posting at the Ebay board, for reasons that remain unknown. BTW, her Ebay ID - IDs, I should say, she used a second one for a few posts at the Ebay forum - is NOT the same as her posting ID here.

My son recently purchased this wallet for me and I'm concerned about the authenticity of the wallet. The wallet sent to me was not the same as the one pictured ("c"s are in different position and leather trim color appears lighter, wallet also has a strong smell).

Listing #180448048020
Seller: loveclaireboutique (249)
http://cgi.ebay.com/NewCOACH-KHAKI-...emQQptZUS_CSA_WH_Handbags?hash=item2a038ab394

I hope this is posted correctly. The seller has a high rating and sells a lot of wallets (I noticed one buyer in particular reselling merchandise purchased from this site on their own site) . Some of the wallets were sold fairly cheap.

The owner also has two other online sites. They are:

iamfabulousboutique.com
hollywoodfashionmall.com (click on fashion outlet, then coach outlet) click on individual coach item and it then shows the iamfabulousboutique as seller and ships from.

This owner also owns and sells the Claire Thomas (high end pet carriers) brand. This is where my wallet was shipped from.

Could this owner be selling good quality imitation Coach products which are purchased from the same manufacturer they use for their Claire Thomas products? Or are they selling authentic Coach products? Any thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

BeenBurned replied:
I posted that seller's listings some time ago. They are fake and Hollywoodfashionmall is known for selling fakes.

BTW, they aren't "good" fakes.

And for the record, you comment on the placement of the C pattern varying. Even authentic wallets have different C placement, depending on how the signature jacquard fabric was cut. They will always be properly centered and aligned, but they might be slightly higher or lower on the wallet.

But loveclaireboutique sells fakes.

HOLLYWOODFASHIONMALL even has their very own thread here, it makes very interesting reading:

You sound really ticked at me for asking for authentication on your bag. I thought that's what this thread was FOR - and by the looks of the responses I got, it was worth questioning.

I DID go to the Coach website, and it is not pictured under "all handbags", and the search function on the Coach website is very odd, as it says "wallet finder". Truth be told, I did not even know you could put a number in there, I thought you had to fill out the boxes in order to get a result. I did not insult you in any way, yet you found it necessary to insult my intelligence. Sad. I am a new Coachie, and merely learning the ropes.

If I, as a buyer, am expected to spend that amount of money, then I'm going to question authenticity. It had better be real, I don't care if the seller is someone I know very well or someone I've never heard of.

Jen, please don't let this seller intimidate you and scare you away from asking authenticity questions.

Most sellers are appreciative of buyers who educate themselves before bidding and buying. And in fact, there are many sellers whose listings refer buyers to tPF or the ebay shoes/purses/fashion accessories boards in order to verify authenticity before they plunk down their hard-earned money.

You did NOTHING wrong and in fact, your post educated you about the type of seller with whom you don't want to do business!! Count your blessings.

There are many other great sellers who will gladly welcome your authenticity questions.
