I'll comment on the wallet first

Those "collage-type" photo arrangements are usually red flags since many fakes-selling sites use them and the buyers of those fakes often copy the photos into their auctions. The style of the wallet photos is also completely different from the rest of the seller's pics which makes me think that theses aren't her photos and aren't pictures of the actual wallet. A little more searching might turn up where they were borrowed from, but I personally would NOT bid on that wallet.

The seller also sold the same wallet using the same set of photos back in February:

AND the seller sold several Checkbook wallets back in January that are OBVIOUS fakes.

Do NOT buy from maricruz_2009

I'll be back in a bit to look at your other photos.

Thank you. I thought it was weird because it doesnt have a serial stamp in it? I thought all Coach bags had one.. but I admit I dont know a whole lot about Coach.

Also, this forum is quite big. Is there a thread that has a list of reputable Coach sellers on ebay?

Darn it. Ok thank you very much.

Keep looking, there are a huge number of fake wallets on Ebay so always ask before you bid. Better to find out now than to learn something's fake once you own it. And Coach wallets are incredibly easy to fake and to make look good in photographs.

NEVER take a chance with wallets, and avoid new sellers especially if they're from southern California, and avoid anyone who sells a lot of highly faked wallet styles. But again, be glad that you asked first.

No, some smaller bags like your Pouch style, some Swingpacks, Demis, and other small bags will have patches and some won't, and some of those patches will have serial numbers and some won't. There aren't really any "rules" about that, just as there are almost no "rules" about Coach in general.

And no, there was a thread about sellers we trusted until some nutjob came along and turned it into a battleground. The best thing to do is to ask about each piece before you bid. And don't be in a rush to bid because an auction may be ending soon. There will ALWAYS be another of the same style coming along sooner or later, and bidding without doing your research first is usually a good way of getting stuck with a fake.

If you want to learn some Coach basics, take a little time to read the "Answers To Authenticity Questions" thread a bit farther down in the index. There's a lot of good information there for anyone who takes the time to read it. There are also a few bits of misinformation, so ask questions if something isn't clear:

I'm glad I read Hyacinth's response before posting my own. It would have said the exact same thing!!

The quilted pouch you received as a gift looks fine.

Comments:

Could someone tell me if this is a fake? I have been looking at this style on ebay until my eyes are crossed! It looks "funny" in the picture, maybe not as square? Not sure if there's a difference in the "satchel" vs. the "tote" for the Coach Madison Audrey? The dimensions all seem to be the same online for the different auctions...please help?

Thanks!
