Comments: I'm just curious about this tote and why it has a "Z" before the style number. I was at a TJ Maxx yesterday and spotted a camel Coach east/west tote with a dogleash clasp closure like this style. Is it a department store delete ("X" stamp on the creed)?

I would appreciate any insights on the "Z." I'm having a tough time searching tPF for any info on this designation and I'm just curious.

Doesn't look good to me. The "Coach" lozenge charm seems "off" (for example, the right leg of the A is supposed to be a tad thicker than the left leg), and "Coach" isn't stamped on the back of each charm. Plus, the general workmanship just doesn't look as good as other charms I've seen.

Of course, I'm a relative newbie. I will defer to Starry or BB's [more informed] opinion...

i would like to know if someone can authenticate this Coach purse for me. the woman selling it on Craigslist said it was just over 1 year ol. i have no idea what the name of this bag is. also, can the strap double over so that you can make it shorter in length? thanks! :D here are pictures of the purse that the seller sent me.....

I had a black version of this bag. Yes, the strap can double over. You just fold it in half and thread it through a buckle on one side and secure both ends of the strap with the other buckle.

If you want authentication, you'll need to show a pic of the creed inside the bag.

Also, this style of bag was made over the course of a few years (if I recall correctly). My black bag, which is otherwise identical to this one, was made in 2002; I don't know if they made this exact style in 2009. The serial numbers on the creed will tell you how old it is.
