Comments: This is supposed to be a vintage bag. I'm concerned about the quality of the leather, and the creed doesn't look like it was stamped uniformly.

You're right. That's NOT authentic. First, you can tell by the odd looking puckered, stretch marked leather. You can also tell by the thick font on the M4S-7414.

Here's another different style fake with the same serial/style number and the same thick font.

Coach doesn't always use YKK zippers. Whether or not a zipper has YKK on it shouldn't be used to determine authenticity. Even fakes can have YKK on the zippers.

The piece of leather is fine. Several of my bag handles have the same thing.
