Item: NWT Coach Heritage Stripe Tote
Listing number: ? Bonanzle sale, can't find list number?
Seller: Jamopar

Comments: Hi everyone, I wanted this bag when it first came out... and now I am seriously tempted to buy but would like to make sure it is real. I can tell if I see it in person... but IDK with pics, and you guys seem like you know! :) Your help is appreciated! I tried to do a search and read through a ton of posts here but couldn't see anything on this seller or bag. Thanks a ton!
It looks good and the seller's other items appear to be fine.

I am selling a Coach bag and it seems to have all the authenticity present on it. Can you tell me if it's real and legitimate? It's item # 370333860581 I will remove it if it's not real.http://cgi.ebay.com?ws/ebay

That bag is a complete fake for a number of reasons including the style, the damaged and stretch-marked leather, and the fake serial number. Please remove it ASAP.

BTW, whatever "authenticity" you claim it has is all fake, INCLUDING the stamp, serial number and leather tag. Every one of those can be and IS faked.

Please ask here before you list any designer items that you didn't actually buy yourself from an official legitimate store or retail partner, or risk a strike against your account if Ebay has to remove a counterfeit item that's already been listed.

The link doesn't work.

Please post in the format recommended in the first post.

Just so you know, sellers are required to verify and confirm authenticity before listing so if you didn't personally purchase the item yourself from a legitimate store, you might want to end the listing until such time that you have confirmed that it's authentic.

Aha!!

COACH, Dk. Chocolate Ergo Bag, HoBo Style
Item: 370333860581
Seller User ID: clotheshorsegal
http://cgi.ebay.com/COACH-Dk-Chocol...emQQptZUS_CSA_WH_Handbags?hash=item56399e42e5

Now that I found the listing, I think the seller's response (from over 24 hours ago) is rather interesting:

I assure you I am NOT trying to sell knock offs! I do my homework and have done so for 10 years, without the help of someone like yourself advising me! I am a 58 year old granny who is just trying to make a extra buck! The authenticity is inside thisbag as stated and has the coach hangtag attached. As far as any of my older coach bags go, when these were all made there was no such thing as knock offs... Foletta

Just because a bag has a creed, serial number and hangtag doesn't mean that it's authentic. And fakes have been around forever.

Hello Authenticator,
I believe you may have authenticated one like this but I would still like you to have a look at it. I believe this to be a Willis.
Thanks in advance

A WORD OF WARNING TO OUR MEMBERS

If some of you have also used Ebay's own Shoes & Purses forum get opinions on whether or not a bag is genuine, that option is now closed. In fact according to the latest Rules posted by "Griff" from Ebay, any mention of an auction number or title in any post there asking for authenticity opinions can get your post removed and the poster temporarily or permanently suspended.

I've posted a link to my comments about the forum meltdown here at tPF's Ebay forums,
http://forum.purseblog.com/ebay-forum/ebays-shoes-and-purses-forum-crashes-and-burns-558254.html

but I strongly suggest anyone who posts or buys on Ebay visit the forum there too and read what's going on so that they understand how important it is now to get designer items authenticated BEFORE you buy. Read the pinned post from "Griff" and then the replies - assuming any are left by the time you read this, a number of posts have already been removed:

http://forums.ebay.com/db2/topic/Shoes-Purses-And/Griffs-Post/520184974

Thanks for posting the thread in the tPF ebay forum.

This implosion is so sad.
