hi everybody, no link for these, they're mine. the berry colored bag has COACH NEW YORK embossed on the front -. also, if they're real, what are the style names? thanks so much! bobbie

That style makes me nervous. The run-on words on the creed scare me.

I agree, but if you look carefully there is a space between the words. I've looked at several bags of this style that were made around this same time period and they all have creeds that look like this.

They both look fine. The black one is called a Bedford Flap and is from 1997. The berry-colored one is a Tribeca Shopper from 1999.

I believe it's ok. The details of the bag such as fabric, stitching, hangtag, hardware, look correct. If you look closely at the creed, the words aren't really run-on. There is a slight space between the words SUPERIOR CRAFTSMANSHIP AND, which is consistent with the creeds from this style bag made in this time period.

Oh I see it now. It was a bit difficult to see at first, perhaps because it is on black. I don't know much about Coach, so I didn't know this...perhaps they make small changes every year/with every design or something? I wonder if my sister has ever noticed such things. Interesting, I'll try to do some research myself.

This is my sister's purse, and we are attempting to figure out if this is, in fact, a truly authentic Coach purse, or a fake one. I know close to nothing about Coach purses and how to tell if one is authentic, so I thought I would turn it over to people who know a bit more about them than me. Hence this thread ;)

So ladies (and gents?), is this Coach purse an actual authentic Coach item? Or is it fake? Thanks much to anyone who replies!
