I bought a Coach #13921 at Macy's Coach booth tonight. It was 50% off. I think it is a steal until I looked online and saw discussion about "fake" bags in the market. I don't believe I got a fake one at Macy's but after I checked some online pictures, I noticed that there is no small leather logo attachment on my bag. My husband said I got a fake one...but this is MACY'S!! My husband also said that someone might bought a new one and returned a fake one...OK, he does not support the idea of wife buying expensive bag. How do I tell if it's authentic or fake? Should I bring it back to Macy's first thing tomorrow? Or should I bring it to a Coach store and will they help me to find our? I think I'll loose some sleep tonight. Please help. Thanks!!!

Do you mean that it's missing the hangtag? Those can be taken off or lost pretty easily. Why don't you post some pics? I'm sure someone here would be able to help you out :smile1:

Comments: I have the Patricia's Legacy, but that is #9951. I am not familiar with the pre-1980s numbers, and I strongly suspect that this is fake & just don't want this poor bidder to overpay!

You're right, it's fake. That serial number never existed, for one thing, and there are several other mistakes. Please report.

That seller (in your comparison listing) sells authentic.

If you want to know if your bag is authentic or not, you'll have to post pictures of your actual bag.

Although it's not unheard of for a dishonest customer to do a "buy and switch" at Macy's, it's happens very infrequently.
