BeenBurned,

Thank you so much for your time and advice. You assured me this is an authentic coach purse. I just did not want to accuse the seller for selling a fake purse when she was selling an authentic one! By the way, when I was talking about the "C" not matched at the seams, I was talking about the side seams. You can see it on the third picture on the listing photos. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290392299367&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

However, like you said, it was so badly produced, it might be "the giveaway" sale at their outlet. That makes more sense. I am glad that I got a good advice here at TPF. I will advertise this site to my friends!

Thanks a million!

I looked at the photo and clearly, the center front seam is perfectly centered and matched. I'm not sure what you mean.

Just for the record, there are a couple of signature items that have one side of the bag where the pattern was severely unmatched. In fact, I subsequently saw them at giveaway prices at the outlet, probably because they looked so bad and fake.

The C's don't always line up at the seams. I've seen this on many authentic bags. I agree with BeenBurned. Your bag is fine.

Thank you very much for your assurance. Now, two of you guys authenticated this purse and I don't have to worry about it! I will email the seller and apologize to her. I am so glad that you guys are there to help me out! Thanks!

You misunderstood. THe bag I referred to was a hobo style from a few years ago. The center front matched and aligned perfectly; the back looked as though it was purposely misaligned and unmatched.

The item you bought is perfect and NOT "badly produced." Side patterns often don't match perfectly. That's very normal depending on the placement of the pattern when the fabric is being cut.

Item: White Coach Wallet - Brand New!!
Seller: Fbadawi1

Comment - TIA - I asked for additional pictures and she just added...
Wallets are tricky and although nothing scream fake (in looking at the wallet), the fact that it's "new" and $45 concerns me.

And the seller has another highly faked style, also described as "new" and also $45. Even on sale, I've never seen 6K10 this inexpensive:

Please wait for other opinions as to the authenticity.

No clue on this bag? Has anyone ever seen one like it?

Item Name: Unknown
Serial Number: #065-4530

If it's about 16x9x4 inches, it's called a Musette Bag, an early cross between a small travel duffle and a large hobo. It's probably from the mid 80s or maybe a bit earlier and it's the first one I've seen in a long time. The price in 1986 was about $208.

If you're going to keep it, give it several good conditionings with either Lexol or Apple Conditioner.

Interesting find! :smile1:
