The rivet in the lining is put there by some department stores as a way of marking sale items to prevent full-price retail returns. Some department stores may put the rivet on the creed or punch a hole in the creed for this same purpose.

This is a Clover Leather Duffle, not an Ali. I can't quite make out the serial number on the creed, and it looks like there's an additional mark or letter stamped at the end of the serial number. It kind of looks like a "W" but it looks like it was added there separately from the rest of the serial number.

This is interesting because the style number has a W at the end of it. Some of us were speculating as to what the W means. It seems to be something similar to the "P" at the end of style numbers for pilot bags. I was told by Coach that they may put different letters at the end of style numbers as a way of tracking test or pilot bags in different markets.

I find it interesting that both Clover bags were bought at department stores and both sellers are located in California. I wonder if "W" stands for "West", or if this is the way Coach is now marking their pilot bags for department stores?

Thank you for the quick response starrymaz! I thought that rivet meant sale item. And you may be right about that W for West. Anywho, love the bag color, may have to go bid now;) lol

Comments: As best I can tell looks authentic, and seller has perfect feedback on *bay and toolhaus. However, I've never seen or heard of a brown leather Carly and I'm not sure if Coach made one (couldn't find one when I searched the forum). Otherwise, looks like my other leather Carlys.

It's authentic. Yes, Coach did make the Leather Carly in Brown. It's somewhat hard to find now, especially one that's NWT.

It's authentic. Whether or not an auction says "authentic" isn't really a big deal since even fakes sellers can say that their items are "100% guaranteed authentic." Sellers of authentic items know that their items are authentic.

do you remeber this? the guys says he will not refund my money unless i send the bag first. I dont want to send the bag till i get them money..i said i can go to the resolution center, he says go ahead. the listing is gone now, as ebay with drew it. do you think i should just send the money, or go to the resalution center? thanks so much
