Ladies I went to Goodwill (inspired by other postings where the rare gem will pop up and I found this bag!!) Can anyone authenticate, provide an a estimated age on this bag or a style? I paid less than 30 so I am hoping I did not get ripped off !!! The creed says:

"This is a Coach bag, it is made out of a completely natural glove tanned cowhide. The scars, scratches, veins and wrinkles are natural markings characteristic of full grain leathers" under that "Made in the United States" Then there is a registration number: 0098-313

Hello! Newbie here. I've wanted a scribble for a long time now, and found some on ebay. I have been trying for two days to see if I could authenticate this myself, but I can't!

It looks good to me. I'm trying to figure out which of the many Coach "flap" bags it is.

The serial number means it was made in the late 1980's - 1993.

Does it have an adjustable shoulder strap?

Does it have a "slip pocket" on the back?

I'm wondering if it's this one:

Yes actually it does. It has an adjustable shoulder strap with a buckle and it has a slip pocket on the back. I was thinking a stewardess bag but the shape is different on the coach site

I feel so stoopid now though-I had felt safe enough to purchase when I saw and read comments on the 100% feedback-but just looked at it again today to realize it was all feedback as a BUYER!!! uugghhh:lecture:

I think it's okay. Please ask the seller to send you pictures of the interior and a legible picture of the creed.

I'm confused by this one. Is Arizona Shoe the same person as TrendiGirlz? I know I've seen TrendiGirlz's items on Amazon and they look fine. (I've also seen her pictures in a certain ebay seller's listings too.)

But except for the reference to TrendiGirlz on the product promotions section of the ad, how do you know that this is the same seller and not someone who copied and pasted?

I don't know the answer to my question. I'm hoping someone else might.

Thank you so much, BeenBurned! The seller is guaranteeing authenticity and is including the original receipt so I'm just going to bite the bullet and pay for it. There are sooooo many of this particular style for auction which raised the red flag for me. I have def. broken my newb virginity on this transaction...expect to see more of me on these auhenticity threads. Thanks again!

If you look at some of the other listings, there are different backgrounds for some of the pictures. The ones with different backgrounds don't (usually) mention TrendiGirlz and the ones using TrendiGirlz' photos do say the name in the Product Promotions section. This looks like a case of "borrowed" photos and descriptions.

Examples:
Only a stock photo, description borrowed from Coach:
