Yikes! What in the world is THAT supposed to be?

No, Coach didn't make a strap like that, especially not for a plain leather hobo. The colors don't even look like they match, and the strap looks like it has only one buckle hole on one end and at least FIVE on the other - I've never seen a Coach strap like that. It looks like a cheapo leather strap that was attacked by a BeDazzler. :wtf:

And the photo of the inside isn't even from the same bag! That's the inside of a Sonoma bag from the mid-90s, and from the leather color the bag itself would have been light tan or bone.

That seller is trying to pull a fast one by not disclosing the tacky replacement strap and by using a fake photo of the inside. If anyone keeps a personal "Do NOT Buy From..." List, that might be a good name to add to it.

Do you still have the tags or the receipt from your wallet? Almost every one I've been looking at on Ebay seems to be different from the others - I'm wondering now if ANY of the ones listed are genuine. I've found Mahogany, Parchment with Toffee (pebbled leather) and a few others and they all seem to have the very close rows of stitching like the one in this listing. Unfortunately it looks like it's an outlet wallet, assuming it's genuine, and I can't find any actual Coach photos. But using the same number for both a smooth AND a pebbled leather wallet would be really unusual.

The best thing is probably to assume that they're all fake or questionable until proven otherwise and until we can see good close-up photos of a genuine black wallet including the original price tag and store receipt.

The black wallet I bought for $100 arrived Thursday. It's beautiful, authentic, and from an outlet in GA, which I don't mind in the least. It's the style I wanted and had limited options to buy it. :D

If it helps ID this style in smooth leather, the tag inside reads F41690 SV/BLK. SOHO CHKBK WLT
