Hi there, I've bought a coach madeline medium in mauve and I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the last 5 digits of the serial number on the inside tag should be 12482. Thanks!
Hi, how does this one look?

Also, is it generally possible to buff out the scratches on the vintage leather?
Thanks!
Can someone have a look at this bag please? I can usually tell if a Coach is real bs. fake but this one has me stumped. I think it is because of the creed no. It appears to say 9790 but when I do a search on that number it comes up as the City. It is fading a bit on that side so maybe I am reading it wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Authentic! I actually like my Legacys with the "scratches." That's the nature of this type of "vintage-looking" leather and I think it adds character to the bag. I don't try to buff them out. The care card says not to use anything on the leather, but others have used Apple conditioner (mostly on Whiskey and black colored bags) and they say that it evens the color out. I wouldn't use anything on a lighter color like Camel.
I don't have a good feeling about that bag either. Not only is the style number wrong for the bag, but the N in "No" doesn't look right either. If you own the bag you should be able to see that part of the number much more clearly than we can with just photos to go by. The inside of the base doesn't look right either.
The bag actually looks like a Lexington Slim Bucket which is style 9802 but I don't think those were still made in 2002 as the year code would seem to indicate. I'm definitely leaning toward fake on this one but it's hard to say for sure without knowing when they stopped making that bag - but I'm pretty sure the Lexingtons were only made for a few years in the late 1990s starting in late 1997.
Would this be the Lexington Slim you were talking about? You are right, this is the EXACT bag that I have. Same details, same shape, hardware is the same.
Hmmmm. I may have to take this to Coach to figure it out or not.

Also, what are you thoughts about a seller without a lot of feedback (100% though)? The seller has sold a few coaches previously as well. Thanks!!!

I've used Apple Conditioner on my whiskey, black, and white Legacy bags with no problems. I don't have a camel one though, so I can't comment on that.
