Authenticate this Coach GiGi I am looking to buy this Coach GiGi in Camel on Ebay and asked the buyer where she bought this bag since it has been sold out for months and is no longer in production. She responded with that she bought the bag from a online retailer, it looks authentic but I would like someone else to take a look at it for a drop $500 on a handbag. Thanks so much. Here is the website where the bag is located on ebay.

Wait before bidding or buying.

The pictures look good, but the seller has 3 listings, all with different backgrounds. Two of the listing use a certain photo-hosting site. The third listing uses photobucket. Usually sellers use the same hosts for their listings.

I'm a little concerned that what you see might not be what you get. And with the seller's low feedback, she doesn't have a history that you can research.

hi. i'm the seller of this bag. yes i use 2 different photo hosting sites and i don't see why it's a problem. this pictures are taken by me and the buyer will receive exact same bag. i never buy or sell not authentic bags.

Ladies,
I'd like your opinion of a few local craigslist items.

Looks like a small clutch/wristlet... owner said they didn't know if it was real or not... the C's look strange to me, but maybe it just b/c of the small size of the bag. If it was real I'd hate to pass up at this price.

This one I really don't like... not a fan of most of the Patchworks, but this one takes the award for really ugly. I'm still pretty new to Coach and still learning. Title of the post was "Coach bag! *HOT*". I hope this one is fake, b/c its so ugly I'd be sad if its real

If that's the case, there's nothing wrong with it, although I do think it's highly unusual and IMO, a PITA to be flipping back and forth between 2 hosting sites.

The reason it was mentioned (and my point is certainly valid) is that often, sellers who "borrow" pictures from other sellers have listings that have different photographing styles, different properties for their images, different hosts for the pictures, etc.

Since there are so many fakes, my advice was meant to issue a caveat to buyers so they will do their homework.

Also, since you are a new seller (on that ID), you don't have a proven history to let others know that you sell only authentic items.
