I purchased this on eBay today:

The seller says the item has a Coach gift receipt and their feedback is 99.9% positive (1969 positives). The seller also owns an eBay store.

Hope these pictures do justice. Can you all tell if this is a fake? I purchased the bag for $299, the MSRP is $458.

(Probably should have came here first, but I wanted to get this for my significant other ASAP).

I'm sorry, the bag is fake. I've seen this same swingpack faked before. The dustbag is fake too. Style #5659 belongs to the Scribble Mini Tote. I've attached a picture of what it's supposed to look like. Please go back to the store and ask for your money back. Legally, the store can't sell this because it's fake.

The bag looks fine from the pictures in the auction. If it helps ease your mind further, you can post a picture of the creed when you receive it. (The creed is the leather patch on the inside of the bag with the serial number.)

My aunt just gave my mom this bag...she said someone actuily gave it to her a while ago after they didnt like it anymore.... I thought I'd post some pic's here to make sure it is real, and also if anyone could tell me when this bag is from. my mom doesnt really like it but i think if I cleaned it up it would be nice...I took a lot of pictures so i think ill have to post more than once... thanks:p

Definitely authentic. That one has the "serial numbers" that indicate it was manufactured in the late 1970's - mid to late 1980's.

I have photos of at least 4 "Satchels" that Coach made over the years - unfortunately I don't have a photo of that one - so I don't know the actual "Name" of the bag.

It looks to be in great condition. If you feel that it has years of dirt on it, you can give it a bath, stuff it to dry and then condition it with Apple or Lexol conditioner. It will be good for another 30+ years.

Thanks Starry! I contacted the seller and asked for proof of authenticity and she referred me to the same listing. Both are bogus. No wonder she didn't show a clear pic of the creed.

And the sneak sold it with a BIN - report, everyone!
