Hyacinth: Here's the auction number for the crystal keychain. I had already deleted both from my saved auctions page so I had go and look for them again among completed auctions. The seller said the keychain had clear plastic covering it so maybe it was a fake after all.

Thanks for the link, I didn't even notice the plastic. That's not the kind of plastic Coach ships in, and if they had shipped that from Jacksonville it would have been double-wrapped and not just in plastic.

Interesting - now I'm wondering. If it's a fake, it's one of the most convincing ones I've seen but there's no telling what it actually feels like from the pics. That one's definitely a :confused1:

Wallets, especially signature wallets, are among some of the most frequently faked Coach items. I would be extremely cautious buying a wallet on ebay. The first style is a very commonly faked style, and frankly, I'm not comfortable with the first seller. There are a few red flags with this seller. They are seem to have an endless supply of wallets for sale, and seem to sell the same styles over and over again, and some of the pictures look like stock photos. And in the auctions where the seller uses his/her own pictures, the pictures do not show enough detail to determine whether or not the wallets are real or fake. I would not be comfortable bidding on any wallets from this seller.

The second seller is a fairly new seller with no recent feedback. Again, not enough detail is shown in the pictures to tell whether or not it's real. I would only buy a wallet on ebay from a known, reputable seller. It's just too risky, otherwise.

Hi Starrymaz, thanks for the answer!

My husband picked up my bag (seller buyingnselling2u) yesterday. True enough it was shipped in the Coach box! Fortunately, the bag was ok. Phew! The packaging was horrendous! The coach box is a selling point and yet he used it as the packaging. What the point of giving the ribbon when the gift box itself is ruined?
Another thing that I'm not happy is that he overcharged shipping. Actual shipping was only $36.95, but he charged $44.95 plus another $7.95 for insurance. It is way to much to pay for shipping!
Not only that, I checked his recent listings and found that he'd changed his shipping rate overseas to $39.90, insurance included.

I wrote to him stating how unhappy I was with his packaging and shipping rate. He replied and pleaded ignorance as to why his recent listing shows $39.90.
He said "it is not real." He "doesn't know why, but that is not their shipping cost" and they "never ship overseas for $39.90". Check out this listing, the shipping rate cleary states $39.90.

I told him he should have sent the Coach box inside a usps box and he said The Coach box can't fit into any usps boxes at all. Is that true? Even if it is true, he could have just bought another box, after charging so much for shipping! He also said that it is mentioned in the listing that the bags will be shipped in the Coach box. I think the phrase is very misleading. Of course the bag would be shipped in the Coach box, not outside or on top of the box! A better phrase would be "The coach box will be used as the packaging for shipping."

He offered a refund, but I would have to bear the shipping cost, so no point returning it. Shipping already cost me a bomb. Anyway, I'd still write to him later.
Any advice, ladies? TIA!
