Well for some of you asking about authenticy and giving some Ebays sellers picture websites, check out more than the handbags, check for HUGE clues.
Big one: If someone buys to sell, they make sure they have receipts, gift receipt or proof of purchase so they can guarantee authenticity. When purchasing to sell I always ask for gift receipt, Coach gift box, Coach gift tissue. An authentic receipt has store address, store phone number and store salesman who helped you with the name and number of the bag...sometimes the number isn't on there..but the back always has the Coach with return policy repeated, Ask for picture of front and back!
If someone is buying fake Coach and selling them they will have nothing except paperwork they think comes with handbag. Some people are selling with the registration card still......I would run the other way.
1st. Where did they the buy handbag..or more importantly..cuz they may get frustrated with givng away their place of purchase, then ask if there is a receipt from an authorized dealer like Dillards or Macys and to send picture of it.
2nd,
Ask when they provide buyers feedback. YOU SHOULD GET FEEDBACK RIGHT AFTER YOU PAY. YOU DID YOUR JOB WELL IF YOU PAID IN A TIMELY MANNER. IF THEY CLAIM TO NOT GIVE FEEDBACk until you give them feedback.......be careful, if someone is confident they are selling the true thing, and know you will love it cuz lets face it, if its authentic and you got a deal..your keeping that baby!
3rd,
Return policy. Ask if you can return it to the store or ask which store it can be returned to, if you are not happy and they say you can't return it anywhere and they don't take returns...you need to wonder why?
Coach stores always take returns with the receipt and if its authentic.
4th,
Look at the handbag and compare it to someone elses on Ebay and finally trust your instinct. The more interaction you have with the seller, the more feeling you will get if they are honest or not.

You really can't make up your mind, write someone they have sold too in the past and ask if they are a Coach fanatic and if they had it verified or how did they feel about the transaction.

I have 3 different Coach Legacy handbags here...the Flap, Shoulder and Satchel and they all have the gold writing on the creed and I am not sure if that helps or throws a wrench into it...but I agree the handbag looks great and I am not sure if there were Legacy which did not have or if they all have the gold writing. Someone else hopefully jumps in to help.

It looks good to me, the seller has lots of other authentic Coach's up too.
I think only the Legacy totes had the gold lettering on the creed...
Although I wonder why the seller has supersized photos of every part of the bag...except the creed. Hm.

that creed looks off to me. there is an extra something after the supposed "0" and i can't see if it was made in '06 or '08...

Sorry, I have to disagree with a few points.

Coach boxes, tissue paper and dustbags are available all over Ebay and the more "professional" counterfeiters will also include them with their more expensive "AAA" fakes. Almost every fake Coach sold on Ebay has gift boxes, tissue, dustbags, etc. DON'T EVER depend on those as proof that a bag or accessory is genuine. How hard do you think it is to make fake gift boxes and tissue?

Receipts can be easily faked, and many websites that specialize in selling counterfeits also sell templates for making fake receipts for any highline manufacturer from almost any type of retail outlet including Coach stores. In fact the problem with fake receipts has become so widespread that Ebay no longer accepts receipts as proof of authenticity if a buyer files a SNAD claim.

Also, many legitimate sellers won't give out gift receipts or copies any more. Not only is Coach cracking down on items bought from Ebay sellers being returned to Coach stores for refunds, but the company is also banning known OR suspected Ebay sellers of new Coach products from buying in their stores and from their website, and are using regular and gift receipts to track down the original Ebay seller and smack them with the "ban letter."

The best way to be sure you're getting genuine items is to familiarize yourself with the details of the genuine bags, especially the creed patch and the serial numbers, the hardware, and the linings. Learn how to use the Drilldown and how to find other bags with the same style number on Ebay. Boxes, receipts and tissue are just window dressing and mean absolutely nothing. And most importantly, ASK AT THE AUTHENTICATE THIS THREAD BEFORE YOU BID !!!

Thank you so much.

But wat happens if the pdt is from the past seasons?
Will it stil exist in the system?

First remember that finding a photo that seems to match the item is NOT proof that something is genuine. There's a lot more involved than that. What it DOES prove is that if a style number brings up a completely different item, than the item is question is probably fake.

REMEMBER...
Coach can change details of any item between putting it in the drilldown and the item's final production - and they do. The leather "Sun" keychain is a perfect example.

Bags made before 1994 won't be in the Drilldown.

Many older bags won't be there - only about 60-70 percent of the last 5 years' production is filed in the DD.

Items that have just been "pulled" or sent to the outlets may not be there.

Items made specifically for the Outlet stores, for some of Coach's special or resort shops or for major retailers like Macy's or Dillards usually won't be there.

The Drilldown is just a tool, NOT a way to authenticate a bag. Fakes can and usually DO have correct serial and style numbers.

The extra digit looks like a "P" for "pilot bag, a pre-production model placed in some stores to gauge how well a new bag will sell. A Pilot bag probably wouldn't have the script Legacy creed patch.
