hi this item was won on ebay and not recieved yet but wanted to ask some experts opinion on whether if its authentic or not...the style # is 40301 and the sellers feedback looks okay so are her other coach items...im thinking of bringing it to a coach store once i get it in the mail(hope its the real thing)....plz give me some of ur opinions on it ...thanks

I am pretty sure that this is a fake. I have never seen a real Coach creed on suede. Just the ones they sell on Canal in Manhattan. Sorry :sad:

But try this - go to the Wayback Machine for October of '04, pull up the "all handbags" page and scroll down to the 19th row - for Coach Soho Mini Signature Small Duffle they show the dark pink bag WITH the thicker suede and patent trim, but if you click on that link it only pulls up a page showing either the brown or the black, both with the thinner trim. It's possible they tweaked the trim a bit when they added the darker pink bag.

The rest of the details on the bag look OK, and I can't imagine a counterfeiter making a fake using more expensive materials than Coach used.

Thank you so much for the information on the sun keychain and the fake "pink tag" awareness. I did find one more keychain - maybe it's real, or maybe the yellow in the inner rays is too orange. I don't know how to put pics on but I managed to get the ebay site pasted. It would seem to me the picture could be clearer and they are asking alot for a fake.
I will keep an eye out for those "real" coach sellers.

All the seller's Coach items look genuine and they've all been available at the outlets recently. I think either his camera's color settings or maybe the lighting was off when he photographed the Sun keychain.

To me the stitching is not perfect and pink hangtag so I'd vote against real in my novice, just learning, don't know much evaluation. However, the tag does seem to match the heart.

I'm not sure which of Luisang's items you're referring to. Could you be more specific?

Happiness, in my original answer I should have said "any SUN KEYCHAIN with any pink on it is fake". Coach has made lots of pink keychains. Sorry for the confusion. :sad:

Yes, that one is real, although I think the actual color is a darker purple. Metallic colors seem to be hard to photograph correctly.
