First post here. I think it's real. What do you think?

I am very discouraged and upset because my sister-in-law and her husband got me this coach mini backpack for Christmas and they said it came from a coach outlet on one of his trips he made somewhere. He is a pilot in the airforce. I just know it is fake because of the tag on the inside. I own 2 authentic coach purses that i bought myself and i know they are real and the tag inside them is totally different than the tag inside this backpack. It just upsets me that they would buy me something fake and try to pass it off as real when i just married into their family on Christmas eve. He was all bragging about how much it cost retail price and how much it cost at the outlet and stuff. But anyways you guys let me know what you think about it even though i am already 100% sure it is fact and have not carried it at all since i got it from them.I just feel they are treating me like they think very little of me or that i am stupid or something. Would you all feel that way?

Well I bought the bag this morning. It was smaller than I thought, but for $60.00 I was excited to own my first Coach bag. The serial # is N2F38-8541. I hope its real. Can anyone tell me the year it was made by the serial number? The photo is on page 4 of this thread. It's a small black leather soho hobo bag.
Thanks for your help!

Calliestar, could you take another look at the first 5 digits of the number - what you have listed isn't a valid Coach serial number. Does it start with N2? There should be the abbreviation for "number", No. , and then two groups of letters and numbers with a dash between them, and if it was made in "02 or '03 there should only be three digits between the No. and the dash.

Also, please don't keep two separate threads going on the same subject. Since you're asking for an authentication, it's less confusing if you limit your questions to the Authenticate This thread. The same people usually read both, so there's no sense in double-posting, and it's considered a no-no on most forums.

Sorry, I'm new to all this. I first posted back in the serial # thread then realized I should have put it here in Authenticate This.

I had my husband read the serial # as my eyes are bad. It is: No F3S-9541. I'm pretty excited as I have been watching the same bag on e-bay and it just sold for $130.46 plus $10.00 shipping. Mine was $60.00. Sure hope it's the real deal. Now I'm hooked and want one a little bigger-lol

Thanks so much

I was in the supermarket last week and saw a woman carrying a bag that I've never seen before. It was the exact style of a Hamptons Carryall (large or business not sure). The bag was a navy color (not denim) with white "C" logos. Here's what got me...the "C"s weren't in the typical pattern. It looked as though the "C" were random in that they were all mixed up on the bag, overlapping, as though someone took a bunch of "C"s shook them up and where they fell is how they were placed on the bag. It left a big gap of background color with no logo, etc.

Again, I was in the supermarket and didn't want to get caught staring at this woman's bag so it is very possible my eyes have deceived me and they weren't "C" at all and the other brand who uses "G" instead. Anyone know of a bag like this?

Thats exactly the way i feel too that i can't believe he purchased it for same reasons you said and the fact that here i'm his new sister-in-law and he goes and buys me a fake and tried to pass it off as real. When i first opened the present i was excited and then once i took it out of the box he had it in and looked at the inside i was like omg this is not real. Of course i didn't say that out loud lol. I just hugged him and said thank you. I told my husband that i believe it is a fake. Oh well i quess whatever floats his boat. If he wants to think he actually fooled me thinking he spent over $200 on that thing at a actual coach outlet then hey thats his stupidity. It will just stay in my closet.
