Umm, read the creed. It says:
"It was handcrafted in China from the finest goat." :roflmfao: I'd stay away from this one.

OK, your eyes are probably a lot better - and younger - than mine. That darned number looks different every time I look at it. :sad:

Bethy, I was laughing about the "goat" part too - you'd think they could have phrased that in a more subtle way. Even "goatskin" would have been better.

Go for it, it IS a nice bag.

You can call Coach if you're interested in the bag and ask about the creed, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't put that part about the goat in the creed. I mean, my bags don't say "made from the finest cow" they say "made from the highest quality leather".

The bag number matches up correctly with the drilldown but the pictures aren't the best so I'm not sure. The fact that tpf voided out the website makes me wary though.

Um actually ladies....believe it or not that's right. I have the metallic in the legacy hobo and it says handcrafted from the finest goat. I also thought that was wierd but when I am standing in the coach department buying the bag I KNOW Coach is not selling fakes. I wonder if it has something to do with the metallic color that requires the use of goat? :shrugs:

I also have the leather legacy tote #7574 in the metallic bronze and the creed says handcrafted from the finest goat. You may be right about metallic leather requiring goat skins as opposed to most of the leather bags being made from cow skin. Anyway, I believe this auction to be authentic.
