I am not as much of an expert as others on here, but I do notice a few things that look pretty bad...

(1) the stitching along the edges on the inside of the wallet next to the signature fabric does not look good

(2) the C's on either side of the heritage stripe on the front of the wallet look a little off (not symmetrical)

(3) the pink stitching along the front flap that is stitched to the signature fabric looks out of place. I have not seen wallets that stitch in the fabric like that. Maybe there are some that have that, but none of the current ones on the COACH website have stitching like that.

I looked at the other items that this seller sold and I could not spot a fake, though. (They sure have sold a lot of the same wallet.) But I am still a novice.

I am sure one of our resident experts will chime in and give you their opinions too.

This is a great price, but the C's do not line up in the center... does that make it a fake?

Thanks so much Amajos! I didn't even realize that the rectangular tag was wrong. I am still SOO new to Coach.. but this forum has made me WAYYY more addicted! hahaha. Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate it :-D

No problem, Brooke. I am a newbie, too. I read this really good guide on ebay about some of the telltale ways to spot fakes.

Thank you again Amajos!! I just read over the guide you sent me and I see both things you said--the rectangular tags and the misaligned C's. I see those rectangular tags all the time on ebay, especially on keyfobs! Thank you again for all of your help :-D :-D

They both look good to me too, just be sure you receive the same exact keychain as in the photos.

Rectangular paper tags on keyfobs are not necessarily proof that they're fake. It all depends on the tag.

Also, no matter how good any guide sems to be, there are always going to be exceptions. For instance Optic Signature, Optic Chelsea and other Optic lines won't have the C's perfectly aligned in the front. And there's one style Wave bag with some C fabric on the outside that also has Signature lining. And some creed patches on older bags, especially in the Sonoma line, can be incredibly sloppy.

Here's a PERFECT example of the so-called "expert" guides being completely wrong. The paper tag on that coin purse is COMPLETELY genuine.
