I'm sorry, but it's fake. The large O is just one problem. A much bigger one is that the plant code M is valid in that month and year only for Costa Rica, not the US. Also, that particular font used for the serial number wasn't used in 1994.

Seeing the rest of the bag might show one or two other problem areas but even if there were no others, the invalid plant code would be enough to show it was counterfeit.
Gosh, I was looking to compare and found this listing. Is this fake? (I thought it looked good but it's made in US. was I wrong?)

Also, that particular font used for the serial number wasn't used in 1994, and during that time period the Coach name in the cartouche on top of the creed stamp should be centered, not 2/3rds of the way up in the space.

ETA - The details of what little I can see of the bag don't look right either. The panel right above the inside zipper pocket should be smooth leather, not suede. And style 4152 is a Bantam Bag which is a mini backpack with a snap tab across the top, like the pictures below.
While we're at it, here is the listing for the Slim Tote I just got. Hope I am luckier with this one.

With some of the M codes, it depends on the rest of the bag and on the details and fonts used in the stamping. The M code was a floater and it's not the first time I've seen it used in apparently genuine bags from 2 different countries.

The one the other poster asked about has other problems and it doesn't look like the style number is right either. Yours seems ok and I've seen the same set of codes in 2 other City Bags with US creeds, one of them may even have been the bag you posted. They have the correct spacing too. The third pic is the one originally asked about to show the differences.

It looks good to me, but I don't think it was made during Bonnie Cashin's time with Coach. The fully stamped creed and stamped serial number in that format were used from the late 1970s thru 1987, and that style 9546 Skinny Tote made from at least the mid 1970s to 1986 according to Coach's catalogs. My guess on the date of the bag would be very late 1970s to mid 1980s since that's when the timelines for that creed formatting and for the style itself match up..

Yes, I did see the differences between the fake and authentic *4M prefixes. I've learned to recognize the characteristics of the various plants (M, H, G) and that's why I was "sure" that the bag I found was authentic -- until you said that M wasn't a US plant in 1994.

Thanks for confirming what I thought was genuine.

Here's anotehr fake with K4M and the identical font as Flushpuppy's bag:

ETA: Oops! ^^^^ That was removed already! Oh, well. The picture is there.

That was my mistake, I didn't read far enough into my own notes.

The pic of the fake creed you posted shows the "new" creed formatting, but the old "scars, scratches" wording was still being used into 1995 by most of the plants sharing the M code.

I was thinking it wasn't the 60's for sure after reading more creed info last night. Just glad to know it's legit. I am going today to see a navy tote with the rounded handles that have white stitching. It has the striped lining inside and in the kisslock. Do those get faked as well or does the lining usually mean it's real?

Thanks so much for your help!

I have several GW purchases to be authenticated please and thank you! I would love confirmation on names as well if possible.

Coach Straw Hamptons Tote or Carryall M1K-8909 (I'm guessing based on the name of another bag with the same design but in fabric and leather)
8" long x 7 3/4" tall x 5" deep

Also was the pink flower keychain original to this bag? It matches the eliding perfectly but has silver metal ring, not brass like the hardware.

The next one;

Coach Mahogany Leather ....? Made in Italy D8E-4183 (I found something that referred to this as a Lexington Flap but when I did a search for that name I came up with loads of images of briefcases)
9" long x 9" tall x 3" deep with 16" strap drop.

Can I dunk this bag or are the Italian leather bags different? This is the first Italian bag I think I've found. It's in good condition but has a spot on the back and I also like to reshape bags.

This one has strange markings. Could they be from the leather hide before it was made, or do you think post consumer? I can't make out the round seal but it seems to maybe have letters. Also this bag does have the bullet mark on the creed patch.

Coach Station bag A8G-5130 black (but a very mild black I almost thought was dark gray)
8 7/8 long x 9" tall x 2" deep with 44" strap
