Hope your day is wonderful and many thanks in advance! :)

I have concerns again! The details of the bag look fine, although it looks like one of the rivets is silver (it might have been replaced.) Any creed that starts with a J always needs special attention. The J4D prefix has been seen on a lot of fakes. In my files, the D plant was still using the old format creed with "made in the United States" across the bottom in 1994. Your creed has the too long underline on "No.", the enlarged "o" in "No.", the font we've seen on other fakes, and the letters in the words "United States" are squished.

ETA: I think your pocket might be too long.

I agree with Whateve. And again, we can't emphasize too much how important it is to use extreme caution with any bags with J month prefixes and year codes from the mid to late 1990s. There were 2 main creeds used but only one style of serial number, with blocky numbers and often with some overstamping lines.

Like Whateve pointed out, the underlining under the small "o" should also be much shorter. While a few plants later in the decade started using a longer underline, the earlier serials usually had a much shorter one, almost a dot rather than a line. This is what a real J4D- creed and serial should look like (I know it's hard to read the year code but it IS a "4") and there's another one with an H month code that's a bit clearer:

The second character in a creed is always a number, so if you see a letter there, the creed isn't authentic. The zero in this case, stands for the year 2000. It's explained in the Salearea guides.
I think I bought a Sonoma or something a year or so ago that had the letter and number transposed. It was ruled authentic by the forum.

I need help authenticating this one, please.

The reason I'm so afraid is that she lives in TX and receipt is from Jacksonville, FL...and quite fancy. Lately, I've seen many fakes mixed in with real ones. I hope I'm wrong but something isn't sitting right. Please help.
Thank you so much.

Coach's headquarters are in Jacksonville Florida. Nearly anything you order from Coach to be shipped to you will have the Jacksonville letterhead and look exactly like that one. In looking at the seller's listings, it appears that she orders most of her items directly from Coach factory online. I don't see anything wrong with the bag in the listing or her other items.

While we are on the J creed...is there enough info in the photos to authenticate or authentifake this bag?

Thanks.

Both the Beaumont Satchel and the Soho Bleeker Bag seem ok.

Before I wash my new Slim Tote, I thought I'd try it out on this brown bag I picked up a few years ago online a few years ago, before I knew there even were fakes. I was reading here last night about the No on some creeds and that on fake ones the o can be too big. I happened to look at the creed on this bag, and got worried. Is it fake? This was taken while wet, FYI.

I'm sorry, but it's fake. The large O is just one problem. A much bigger one is that the plant code M is valid in that month and year only for Costa Rica, not the US. Also, that particular font used for the serial number wasn't used in 1994, and during that time period the Coach name in the cartouche on top of the creed stamp should be centered, not 2/3rds of the way up in the space.

Seeing the rest of the bag might show one or two other problem areas but even if there were no others, the invalid plant code would be enough to show it was counterfeit.

ETA - The details of what little I can see of the bag don't look right either. The panel right above the inside zipper pocket should be smooth leather, not suede. And style 4152 is a Bantam Bag which is a mini backpack with a snap tab across the top, like the pictures below.
