Your first major boo-boo, unfortunately...

The serial prefix J8H is on the Fakes list, the color combo doesn't seem right for that year or style, and most importantly the ends of the inside pocket zipper don't go all the way to the edge of the pocket.

The second inside pocket was added in 1997.

Thanks, Hyacinth! LOL…not the first, but certainly among a small handful since starting my collection in 2006! It will make some dandy tassels for the other blue bag I bought recently, though :)

Could someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
GW yesterday
Approx. 9.5"w x 8"h x 3"d. Strap 22" to rings, including clips.
1997 Court Bag #9870 yes?
Thanks in advance…more coming :)

The next 2 are from GW Bargain Barn…for $1 each.
This one embodies the phrase "rode hard and put up wet" but I have her twin and can use the strap and zipper pull for replacements, if I ever need them.
2003 Signature Slim Duffle Small #6347, right?
Thanks again!

These two both look ok.

Top of the morning Ladies! Early this morning, I posted 2 purses with a request to authenticate Posts number 13517 and 13518. Post 13519 was to correct that I identified the name wrong. I am new and these were my 2nd posts in this forum. I am inquiring as to whether they did in fact post and are visible? Kindest regards. Harvey

Good morning ladies. I picked up 2 purses at a community garage sale over the weekend for $10. Would you kindly authenticate them please? This is my 2nd post and attempting to conform to the posting requirements on page 1. My sincere gratitude in advance for your help. I will post the 2nd purse separately.

Purse 1:
Coach Carnival Crossbody (please correct if this is not the style name)
Measurements: L-8.0" x H-5.0" x W-2.5" approximate

This is the 2nd purse from my lot. Again, thank you in advance for your gracious help in authenticating it.

Name: Coach Carnival Crossbody (my sincere apologies if the name is wrong)
Measurements: L-8.0" x 5.0" x W 2.5"

the picture of the creed turned upside down after i uploaded it. I cannot find an editor to turn it back around. My apologies.

I'm sorry. The style name is wrong on this one. Would you please help me with the correct name? Best regards.

There is no need for so many posts.
Both are authentic. The first is a pocket purse, the second is a carnival bag.

They are all fine.

I don't know if the leather is supposed to have the striations & coloring that it has or if it has developed it over time with use, but I LOVE it. It has such character.

Please authenticate, give name, color & years made

My guess:

Name : Companion Bag
Years made : late 70's - mid 80's
Color : I have no idea

I picked this bag up over the weekend. It looks and feels good, but it has no creed. I know not all Coach's have creeds but I would like a second opinion. The made in China tag has a white dot which would indicate a MMF bag. Any help is appreciated.
Sorry I do not know the style name.

It's fine. It's a companion bag 9300 from the 80s. I don't know when they started making this bag but I think it was in the late 80s. I've seen several with US, as well as NYC, creeds, so it was probably made into the early 90s. The color could be British tan or tabac.

While I agree that the pictures of the bag in the listing don't show enough to prove (or disprove) authenticity, I agree that something is sketchy about the seller (and her creeds). Although it could be the angle the picture was taken, the creed doesn't look like there are enough lines of text for what it should say.

And additional listings from hollister54 also lack pictures and details necessary for both buyers to make educated buying decisions but also for the seller to prove her honesty. It almost looks as though she makes an effort to purposely make the creeds illegible.

Personally, I'd prefer to buy from a seller who shows what needs to be shown in the first place.

I've come across so many listings that don't have creeds or partial photos it makes you wonder. They should all upload a photo of the creed. I'm getting fed up with asking TBH.
