What is the name of the purse & approximate year?

Thank you again

authentic from the late 90s. We need measurements to ID.

I think that was a mis-type and Whateve meant to type early 1990s. If it's about 7x7 inches it might be a Compact Pouch, style 9620, 1990 to maybe 1992. But we do need measurements for bags with no style number codes.

Thanks so much Hyacinth, this is so interesting! And logical, I just never thought about it.

I've only seen four 1993 Sonomas in my eBay and forum travels so far - the 4907 and 4903, all made in Italy.

What you've shared has piqued my curiosity (plus the Italian leather is my favorite).
Now I'll be on the lookout for more!

Remember, the Sonomas have been faked, and of course there's the infamous NT-4903s and 4908s. Don't be put off too much by creeds that look like they were sewn and stamped by 6-year-olds either, just have everything authenticated here before you buy.

And of course, read the Salearea Guide on Italian-made Coaches if you haven't already. :D

You'll be happy to know that I just reread the Salearea Italian Guide!:smile1:
And I will definitely get everything authenticated here - you all have saved me much grief and wasted money.

Thanks for all of your time and help and expertise Hyacinth!

Thanks for the correction. Of course that is what I meant.

It looks fine.

Keep in mind that the hardware on almost all Coaches made after about 1990 was NOT solid brass, it was coated brass over some other metal. So it's very possible that the brass layer wore off to show the different color metal underneath.

Aha, now I get it - didn't know some of the older hardware wasn't solid brass, thank you. And thanks for the assessment!

Another estate sale authentication, if you please. Thank you in advance!

Comments: Weird the strap ring is so open (?) Never these unusually-sewn 'inverted' side seams.

We had a similar keychain awhile back. This one has the fake Jack Russell Terrier box and the backs are stamped "Coach Leatherware est. 1941." Normally a charm with a logo on the front doesn't have a logo on the back, and I've never seen "Leatherware est. 1941" on a keychain back.
