So confusing! Well at least there are two for sures and I will most definitely check here first after being suckered a couple of times!

I have a bag that does not have the location it was made on the patch. I know it is genuine as I bought it from a shop so there is one more thing to make it hard! It must be hard to authenticate styles that don't have the serial number or in this case the location of production?

Is this creed valid? I am in a polite discussion with a seller. I liked a bag and asked for a photo of the creed. Seller said they removed the listing because of errors. Then seller sent me an email today saying the bag did not have a serial number (still no photo)with a link to the Daria guide about Coach Bean Bags, and was I still interested in the bag. I replied with the part of the guide that stated there were a lot of fakes and said I needed a creed photo. Seller sent me photo and said listing was pulled by eBay and they are appealing. Pretty sure it is a fake and would like confirmation. Seller's ID is tdavido1.

I agree, the creed is fake and so is the bag.

And the Daria48 post or Guide that mentions Bean Bag creeds certainly doesn't state anything that would make anyone think the creed in that photo was genuine. Unless my memory is going bad, Daria48 says that there were plenty of fake Bean Bag creeds and they all should be authenticated.

It can be, but that's when the other details of the bag have to be examined. And somehow, we manage. Ten years-plus of experience will do that.

BTW, when you say you bought that bag from a shop - what kind of shop, exactly? I hope you're not assuming that something bought in a brick-and-morter store like a thrift shop or consignment store is automatically safe to buy?

I'd suggest posting photos of that bag.

That bag was asked about here: http://forum.purseblog.com/showpost.php?p=29672667&postcount=11813
I can confirm it is fake. The strap attachments had metal brads, rather than being sewn. The creed is a bean bag creed and doesn't have a serial number. A bag made in the 90s would have a number. The creed itself has problems in the size of the cartouche and the spacing.

Thanks. I will let the seller know the reasons why.

Having looked at tdavido1's other current and completed Coach listings for different bags, I don't think she's purposely listing fakes, however she isn't buying her items directly from Coach (at least not the bean bag bag) and when items aren't purchased from authorized retailers, sellers should have them looked at to confirm authenticity. (Her Willis can't be authenticated because that listing didn't have enough pictures. Hopefully her buyer got an authentic bag.)

The seller can feel free to join TPF and get her authentication questions answered before her account has violations dinging it.

I bought it from shop.ca which is an online retailer. I will post photos anyhow just in case

Please authenticate, thanks.

I don't think it's genuine. The serial font isn't quite right.

I agree it is fake. I think you can report it.
It's not the only fake faast2014 has listed.

This is another and it's another example of a bag with what appears to be a "correct" style number but is a fake.
