You can Search for almost ANYTHING here using the Search link. The trick is to know when to use it.

Commonly talked-about subjects like style names, online selling sites, "popular" sellers, etc will often already have dozens of posts here or at the main tPF handbag forum. Use the appropriate category for the item you're asking about and you shouldn't have any problems finding information.

Just remember that the Search here doesn't recognise "characters" like dashes, underlines, ampersands, asterisks, etc. If what you're looking for includes them, leave them out. So if you're looking for the Asterisk Queen of Ebay "linda*s***stuff" (and I don't even know if that's the right "spelling", I lose track of how many bloody asterisks she uses!) you have to strip the name down to " linda's stuff " - I don't remember if it recognises ' apostrophes.

Another helpful hint is that google can be your friend when looking for posts about sellers with special characters in their user IDs.

As an example using linda*s***stuff, I put "linda*s***stuff purse forum" into the search box and this is what came up. (It's not complete but it gives a lot of posts.)
https://www.google.com/search?q=linda*s***stuff&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=linda*s***stuff+purse+forum

If I were looking specifically for fake Coaches she might have listed, I'd try searching "linda*s***stuff purse forum fake Coach"
https://www.google.com/search?q=lin...tf-8#q=linda*s***stuff+purse+forum+fake+Coach

Not all the suggestions that come up with be fakes or will be about Linda but it's a good way to find some info on a seller.

Thank you, I feel better. :smile1: Basic bag is that the name? Any idea how old? It might be the oldest one I ever got if it is from the 80s.
You're welcome! It is usually called a basic bag. At one time it was called a zippered clutch. Your bag is from between the late 70s and early 80s. It looks like there might be anchors on the strap clips. It should rehab beautifully.

Neither bag can be authenticated without pictures of the creeds.

I am new here, so I am the opposite to the experts LOL, but I have those guides bookmarked and if am not mistaken, your bag could be from the 70s. No clue about the name sorry. Nice find BTW ;)

Thank you both. I am very happy with it. It is then my oldest bag, and yes... there are anchors on the clips. :smile1:
