I made a purchase once and the purse was authentic, but more damaged than disclosed and reeking of smoke (also non disclosed). I followed the steps for refunds, sent pictures to Poshmark, they sent me a return label, when the tracking number showed delivered PM refunded all my money. The seller apologized, was not a matter of dispute. I do not know if sellers can appeal or something like that, if they believe being right.

I bought two bags, but had them authenticated here. Postmark won't transfer funds to the seller until you say your purchase is O.k.

I've never gone through their refund process, but I do know that they're bad about removing items that are reported to them as counterfeit. There's NO way I would ever buy or recommend that anyone else buy any highly-faked brand from them without a thorough authentication here first.

There's a problem with that "Court Bag's" serial number along with one or two other small details, and I can't recommend buying it.

Wait for more comments on refunds

Thanks, Hyacinth!

And thanks for sharing your Poshmark experiences, WishingonaCoach and maramd. Glad to hear neither of you had any problems.

I bought this wallet at a local consignment store and it has no paperwork or tags. I have scoured the internet trying to find a wallet with the diagonal c pattern and have found none so I am relatively sure this is a fake but thought I'd ask for your more experienced opinions to be sure. Thank you for your time.

Vintage Coach experts -- I'm new to this world and still learning about these lovely bags. What is the deal with symmetry and stitching quality on vintage full grain glove leather items? I have noticed on my two newly acquired vintage Coach bags (1980-2000) that although the quality of the leather is top notch, there is a rough and rugged quality to the overall bag.

For example, the two corners where the leather folds on my Daypack backpack does not match the point in the bag (top photo shoes fold close to right corner, bottom photo shoes that the fold is attached far from the actual left corner of the bag). Is this normal of vintage coach (since the "ruggedness" seems to go along with their brand aesthetic during this time period) or did I just get some bad bags?

I generally buy mid-level items (Marc Jacobs, KS) and stitching is very uniform and symmetrical. I also have high-end brands like Louis Vuitton and Longchamp, and the stitching on these brands are generally impeccable and near perfect. None of my two vintage Coach bags show the same level of detail to symmetry. I feel like if I bought an LV bag with the type of asymmetrical outfitting as this Daypack the brand would deem it unsaleable and destroyed. Then again these two bands do not fall in the same price category.

Just trying to learn about what kind of "flaws" are considered normal of vintage Coach items and what is considered defective, or counterfeit.

It looks like a Chelsea bias slim envelope wallet but to be sure, I'd like to see a clear closeup of the snaphead on the front.

This listing is for an authentic wallet but again, please post a closeup of the snaphead on your wallet:

We've said it before, and it's also mentioned in the Salearea Coach Guides - Coaches aren't, and WEREN'T, perfect. Coach isn't LV and Coach isn't going to destroy a perfectly good bag because the stitching is a bit wobbly - unless, of course, you want to pay LV prices for Coaches?

If you still haven't read the Guides, do it NOW.

Of course, vintage Coaches don't have the problem of the insides or the inner pockets deteriorating and flaking or turning to goo like some older LVs and Guccis, so I guess Coach was doing SOMETHING right. And I'd say that's worth a few wobbly stitches.

It's fine. I think you have to remember that the equipment used today is more advanced than the equipment used for vintage items. These items were made by people hand guiding thick leather through the sewing machines. You shouldn't expect perfection.
