The purchaser recieved a good deal on that lot. I agree that the seller made a mistake on the one wallet (may not have been intentional, since not everyone would know that it is not authentic) and could improve on their customer service skills, take the wallet out of the lot and still a low price and fantastic group of purses. The buyers recourse was to return the whole lot, but she chose to keep it (which I would have done also, all of those nice authentic bags at $100) WOW!

Neither the buyer nor I denies that she got a good deal. But the fact remains that knowingly or not, betperks violated ebay policy (and the law) by not knowing whether all her items were authentic before listing. And even after being informed that the wallet was fake, she was rude, in denial and it was her attitude that earned her the negative feedback and the policy violation ding resulting from having a listing removed for a counterfeit item.

I'm fairly certain that had betperks responded appropriately, the buyer wouldn't have negged her and lurkers reading these posts might not have reported the listing.

Again, wishingonacoach did well for $100 but that doesn't release the seller from her obligation to only sell authentic items.

You are right BeenBurned. Because we all make mistakes, it is why I gave this seller more than enough chances to make things right, and the feedback would have been very different. When a seller does all they can to solve a problem, deserve a positive, although after being lied to and overcharged on shipping, I had low expectations.

I have sold a few things on Ebay, I am not an expert seller and when I make mistakes I try to correct them, I have even refunded $1.50 for overcharged shipping. Call me naive or stupid, I just like to be treated like I treat others, with honesty. The fact that I got a great deal regardless, shouldn't be a factor on expecting honesty, but considering her feedback...

Good comparison! I wish there was some way to mark this post so I can refer people to it later.

Hello! I'd really appreciate it if someone could please authenticate this bag.

Item: Vintage Coach Willis bag (the bag actually looks like a Court)
Seller: princesspoppell
Link: https://poshmark.com/listing/sale-Vintage-Coach-Willis-bag-564d04517e7ef6c2c40000fe

Relatedly, does anyone have experience buying on Poshmark? They advertise a "Buyer Protection" policy for refunds on items that aren't authentic, but does anyone know if it's an easy process to go through? Thanks in advance!

I've never gone through their refund process, but I do know that they're bad about removing items that are reported to them as counterfeit. There's NO way I would ever buy or recommend that anyone else buy any highly-faked brand from them without a thorough authentication here first.

There's a problem with that "Court Bag's" serial number along with one or two other small details, and I can't recommend buying it.

Wait for more comments on refunds

I made a purchase once and the purse was authentic, but more damaged than disclosed and reeking of smoke (also non disclosed). I followed the steps for refunds, sent pictures to Poshmark, they sent me a return label, when the tracking number showed delivered PM refunded all my money. The seller apologized, was not a matter of dispute. I do not know if sellers can appeal or something like that, if they believe being right.
