I purchased this Lula ~which is BLACK not Brown(yes, I did catch that typo..)
Made in TURKEY not USA (which is an upgrade IMHO)
ebay seller TJPREOWNEDSALES
item: VINTAGE COACH Lula'sLegacy Brown Leather Drawstring Bag-9952 Made in USA

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Coach-Lulus-Legacy-Brown-Leather-Drawstring-Bag-9952-Made-In-USA-/271997447856?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=Nu1HflZq9VEVWoc5g%252BLoUiwIMcA%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Problem is..the ends of the drawstring are attached into ONE leather end-thingy. It does NOT appear to have been repaired,I can't see any eveidence of resewing or glue or repair. Since it is a SNAD~seller doesn't take returns~I just want to make sure its AUTHENTIC. I already wrote the seller for a return, but I'll bee happy w partial refund if its determined by you ladies~that it is GENUINE Thanks in Advance!! :D
CHEERS!! SHERI
I just want to comment on the part in red. (I think the bag is authentic but it's not my era (area) of expertise so I'll defer to Whateve and Hyacinth on that.)

The seller may not have a return policy for buyer's remorse but if you were to file a SNAD dispute (and it is SNAD), her no-return policy is moot. "No returns" only holds with accurately described and accurately disclosed listings assuming that it IS indeed SNAD.

Item: Coach wallet

Comments: Could you please let me know your thoughts on whether this wallet is authentic or not? There's no Coach stamp or tag anywhere that I see. Thanks!

It seems ok but other opinions are welcome. That IS the type of inside tag that Coach uses to disclose the country of manufacture.

And my guess is that with Coach's Signature Cs all over the outside, maybe Coach's design dept. thought that any other stamps or logos to identify it as a Coach product weren't necessary?
I don't see any problems with it.

ETA - Here's one almost identical to yours but with a different leather grain. There are no Coach stamps anywhere on the main body of the wallet either, just on the checkbook cover.

Thanks, y'all! Not bad for $1.99 and it's in excellent condition! I appreciate the help [emoji8]

Okay, can someone tell me what's up with this supposedly interchangable key fob? I really don't know what to think about it. I wouldn't think this is something Coach would make kind of 'halfassed'. (no threaded hole) I hate to have to post in here and ask, but curiosity is killing me and I'm interested in it if it is authentic. I did note the chain is not exactly like the chain on my leather baseball fobs and there's no hang tag either. Maybe these were supposed to be some other kind of thing, like a desk display and the seller made it into a fob?

The other ones I've seen of style 92971 have either four OR five links in the chain (which is odd just by itself), and so far I've only found White and Tan. It's always possible that Coach made a DIY kit with 2 extra colors but it doesn't seem ligical that they wouldn't have prepped the extra balls so they could be swapped easily.

The 2 photos below also look like the eyelet piece that screws into the ball is round and smooth whereas on the others it has flattened sides and edges, if that makes sense. I don't have the slightest idea which ones are real, although it's a tiny bit more likely that the ones where the style number is includied in the listings might be a bit safer. Or maybe one was an Outlet version?

More opinions are DEFINITELY welcome on this one!

Thank you Hyacinth! I was suspect of the auction, but curious too. I already have a white one and a tan one, but thought if this was something real it would be a good addition to my collection.

I totally agree with you, it doesn't seem logical that Coach wouldn't prep or finish the baseballs with a metal threaded hole in anticipation of a customer using it.

At the risk of dating myself, I'll preface my comments with the words of Arte Johnson from Laugh-In: Veddddy interestink!

I've only seen the key fobs in white and British tan and both of mine had 5 links with one attaching to the keyring being slightly larger than the other 4.

In some of the other lisitngs where there appear to be just 4 rings, I believe that the chain is just positioned such that one of the links is hidden. I'm not totally convinced that there are 4 links on them although I didn't do a lot of research.

As for the listing from labautogirl, I'm not comfortable enough to recommend it although I believe it should NOT be reported YET because there's not enough evidence to prove it's fake YET. I've never seen yellow or green baseballs nor have I seen the type of eyelet shown in her picture of the brown ball.

I've attached a picture of the eyelet from labautogirl's ball vs. one from my own known authentic image. I can't recall nor do I still have the item to check whether the eyelet is stationary but if it's not movable, the one in the ebay listing is turned the wrong way as compared to my own. Also, there appears to be a difference in the thickness and size of the links.

ETA: Adding another picture. Not sure if this will help:

I can't give you an answer. Much of it is wrong compared to all the other Gramercys we've seen, but it's possible it was a sample or Pilot Bag.

Compared to other Gramercys:
The lining isn't the right color, there's no serial number and there should be, based on the measurements. The lines in the grain of the leather are horizontal but on all the other Gramercy styles they're at a 45-degree angle, and I've never seen or heard of a Gramercy with a dowel on the top. The creed patch should be smooth leather, not textured. The strap clips are NOT the same design used on the other Gramercy styles.

None of the sequential Gramercy style numbers seem to be unaccounted for, with one possible exception, I have photos of all of them unless there was a style number 7000. If there WAS a style 7000, all bets are off and the bag may be genuine. Or if it was a preproduction pilot bag it might not even have had an official style number. I really hope no one reports it because there are just enough accurate details such as the creed wording and the turnlock design to make its authenticity a possibility. It's hard to see clearly in the photo but it might even have the right inside pocket zipper pull, and THAT would be almost impossible if it was fake. I'm going to do more comparing when I have time but for now I'm calling it "Questionable but Possible".

If Tetondeb is checking this thread, I hope she points this one out to Jed.

Thank you! It really confused me (especially the seller stating that "they didn't put numbers inside when they were manufactured in Italy" as this looks like a Gramercy which should have been manufactured years after Dakota or Sheridan), and I certainly didn't pick up on all of the things you mentioned.

That would be awesome if Tetondeb could check it out!

Would it help if I ask for a better photo of the zipper pull?

Thank you for your input also. I'm not touching it since it can't be authenticated and I didn't report it since it can't be 'unauthenticated'.

You can try. If it looks like one of those elongated bat-type pulls used in the other Gramercys, it might be ok, at least the odds would be better, but it wouldn't be the kind of thing you'd want to try and resell - too many chances of it getting reported as a fake.

Here's the pull on a genuine 7008 Gramercy Satchel

Just a totally off the wall thought - but what company in their right corporate minds would ever make a GREEN baseball? Once it hits all that outfield grass and starts rolling, it may as well be invisible. It would be like a green golf ball.

Like I said, just my brain taking a weird detour. It does that sometimes :graucho:

I have another comment/comparison.

It appears to me that the Coach logo on my (white) ball is further away from the stitching than it is on labautogirl's ball. That's a difference that I don't believe should happen.

Good point! I didn't notice that detail.
