Hi! When someone has a chance, could you please take a look at this bag?

Item: Madison Phoebe Red Pebbled Leather H1369-26224
Where Purchased: Estate Sale
Comments: measures 12” x 12” x 3.25”
I’m wondering if you can also help with a color name or if there is a list of the possible reds this bag was available in? Also, I noticed that some models of this bag have different hardware for the straps. Is that change due to the transition of the Pheobe from a boutique bag to an outlet bag?

It looks good. There's a Phoebe clubhouse: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/phoebe-clubhouse.810975/
You might find some answers there.

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone can lend some insight into these two purses that I recently bought. I bought one for myself and the other one as a gift. I had them both authenticated here as probably being Dakota 4202, an unknown style.

But now that I've received them I'm noticing differences between the “tongue” lengths. #1 was described as dark blue and #2 was black. There is also a difference in the coloring of the trim. I’ve kept all the photos of the original listings if they are needed.

Any thoughts or musings would be appreciated. Thank you.

You could ask in the vintage chat thread. Were they made in the same factory? If not, that could account for the differences. Even in the same factory, different craftspeople may have made them a bit differently. Since it wasn't an established style, there may not have been clear guidelines or a sample to copy.

Good Morning Authenticators!

Hoping to get two items authenticated! I know it’s hard to ‘authenticate’ SLGs since they don’t have numbers but I’d just want the input/opinion!

(1/2) Item: Tumbled Calfskin Trifold Wallet!
Where: Yard sale

It's beautiful! I think it is authentic.

Comments: Is this STYLE 9585 Saddle Pouch Large in British Tan? Seller describes the color as mahogany Do you know what year it was made? It's being described as being in great vintage condition, do you agree? I'm wondering if it can be improved any further. The seller says that it has been cleaned and conditioned including the hardware. Thank you.
It's authentic. It's hard to tell if it is the large or the standard size. The color looks BT in the photos. It could have been made anytime between 1978 and 1988. I'd say it is in good to very good condition. It's hard to know how much you can improve it since the seller already cleaned and conditioned it.

Item: Vintage Coach Dakota Classics Ranger Crossbody Bag
Listing number: none listed
Seller: trishtopp
Site where listed: Poshmark

Comments: Is this the Ranger Bag STYLE 4201 made in 1992? Do you think that it's in good condition? Thank you.
It's authentic, it's a Ranger, and it was probably made in 1992. I think the condition is almost excellent. There is just a bit of tarnishing on the hardware and some fading/scratches on the smooth leather. A bit of metal polish and conditioner and it should look great.

Good point. Thanks for the suggestion and the insight regarding the crafting of these bags. They were both made in Italy so I don't know if they were made in different factories. I'll check with the vintage chat thread and see if they might know more. Thanks again. 😁
