all are authentic. 5 is a binocular bag from the early 90s. It is a pet peeve of mine that people don't understand how to fold over the top on these.

Item: Coach RARE Vintage Italian Leather Hunter Green Dr Satchel Handbag EUC L45-4410

Comments: A search of this seller's name on this forum turns up nothing but fakes. Thank you for taking a look, experts! :flowers:
Personally, if I were buying, I'd avoid a seller who lists fakes (note that I'm referring to the past) and doesn't authenticate her items prior to listing them. At the time of her previous authenticity request, it was found that she "hid" at least one other fake in a lot listing.

As for the current listing, I'll comment that I do believe that the bag in question is authentic (although she typed the prefix incorrectly) but again, I wouldn't recommend her.

I'm not comfortable with the following listing and suggest it be looked at too: melissa5282013 has the following listing for a Willis that should also be looked at.

And compare her creed to another from the same month and plant but a year later. She states the prefix as H8L but I'm reading it as HBL:

I'll agree that the bag in this listing is authentic. Don't you already own every Italian Coach style and color that was made?

this Willis from melissa5282013 is fake. That fuzziness never happens to a creed on an authentic all leather bag. There are numerous other problems with the bag, including grooves in the back of the turnlock, the height of the pocket under the flap, and the padding over the turnlock. The end of the dowel looks odd.
The first picture is an authentic US L plant creed. The second shows what the pocket should look like.

The last picture is a fake creed I have in my files that is similar to the creed on melissa5282013's listing.

Thank you whateve! I have to admit, even though it's annoying they're kind of messing up the bag, I can't say I mind it too much because I get to see the bag! So cute! :smile1:

It is authentic. The seller is someone I trust to only sell authentic. In case you missed it, the strap wasn't made by Coach.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-Vinta...No-1405-240-/301737143044?hash=item4640ef6b04

"COACH Vintage Cashin Era 'Speedy Doctor' Satchel/Crossbody Handbag No 1405-240"
with a 4+3 format serial number and a creed stamp that says "Made in the United States" on the bottom, neither of which was even used before 2000 and 1988 respectively. AND it's a Baxter Bag which wasn't even introduced until 1992, EIGHTEEN YEARS AFTER Cashin stopped designing for Coach.

I have nothing but contempt and disgust for sellers who use descriptions that falsely inflate the value of what they're selling. I wish the buyers who bought all those so-called "Cashin-era" bags that really AREN'T would slap the sellers with SNAD claims, because they certainly qualify.

I definitely agree with the other recommendations here - do NOT buy from melissa5282013 !!!

Actually, I'd overlooked the 4410 until I saw your mention of it on the old vintage styles thread that was recently bumped. And I don't have all of the colors of Madisons; I don't have black (yet; I may or may not be aquiring a research sample soon :sneaky:), butter, mint, mandarin, or white.

That seller's other items bother me. I think I'll avoid her. I want one with a strap, anyway.

It is a trademark violation to use the word speedy for anything that isn't LV.

Comments:
I am skeptical about this bag I purchased. The creed states it was manufactured in Mexico and the printing seems legit except for the COACH logo. There's an odd circle, not sure if it is a flaw, wear or whatever. The zipper is questionable, not sure if it's authentic hardware. Other than that, the leather seems fine, not sure if it is peeling or if its wear but please take a look at the photos.

I have 3 days to return it so, a quick response would be tremendously appreciated. :sweatdrop:

The bag is authentic. The odd circle is an outlet stamp. I've never seen them stamp it directly in the middle of the Coach logo, but that is what it is. It means it was sold at an outlet store. I don't see any problems with the zipper. It looks like any other Coach zipper in a classic style. The leather shows some wear. It could benefit from a bath and conditioning.
