Happy 2025 Authenticators! This was weird to come across a Willis that was made in Italy. Despite the terrible added stitching inside the flap, I wonder if this is an authentic Coach bag. The creed numbers don’t seem to follow the usual Willis code. Thanks for checking it!

Seller: alexernst3

There is another Willis made in Italy listed on Poshmark. Again, the serial numbers don’t make sense to me.

Hi, I would like help authenticating this bag prior to buying it.

Item: Coach Emerald Green Suede Purse In Mint Condition W Original Storage Bag
Listing number: 205236849431
Seller and site where listed: mrse93003 --- eBay
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/205236849431
Comments: I'm new to the world of vintage Coach purses so not too sure about a few things. I can't find a lot about this purse style (7470) besides other sale listings. I've never seen the creed stating a purse was made in China.

Thanks for the help!
The bag is authentic.

I don't usually authenticate or recommend Poshmark but since we're shorthanded, I'll comment this time.

Both are authentic.

Hi, could you please take a look at this bag and let me know if it is authentic? The style of the creed is throwing me off so I'm really unsure. Thank you!

Item: Coach Vintage leather Coach shoulder bag

Seller shoppingatl:

This seller is an example of one of the reasons why I don't authenticate or recommend Poshmark or the sellers there.

In this case, SHOPPINGATL uses STOLEN pictures taken from another seller's Etsy listing. (The creed shown on the Poshmark listing is not from the listing from which the pictures were stolen and I have no idea whether it's the creed on the bag shoppingatl has in her possession or not.)

FWIW, this is the seller whose pictures were stolen and used by shoppingatl :

Most (if not all) the MANY cherry keychains she sold are fake and this bag she sold is also fake: https://poshmark.com/listing/Coach-signature-small-Handbag-like-new-59e1a1fff092826ada0018d8

I cannot tell you whether the bag shown in the listing is authentic but it's definitely NOT the bag you will receive.

Do not buy from Poshmark seller shoppingatl.

Hello,

Item: Coach Dempsey Satchel

Obtained from Poshmark
Seller : Boujeecloset79

my pics are attached including a reference photo from Coach showing the emblem position difference.
Can you Kindly tell me if this is authentic?. The only reason I question it is the reference photo online shows the emblem above the bottom trim and this bag it is below, I don't know why. I purchased it so if it's not authentic I will return it but it really looks and feels right. I truly appreciate your help with this.

Sorry. The bag is fake.

EDIT: For future requests, please refer to the yellow highlighted post at the top of each page of the thread for the info we need to know.

Is the bag listed somewhere where it can be reported? If so, please post the link and seller ID.

I hope @houseof999 chimes in.

I don't know the answer to your question because most of the other Dempsey bags (various versions) I've found are from Japanese sellers (notorious for close fakes) or a few others whose pictures aren't adequate for authentication and/or comparison. (I definitely don't feel comfortable assuming the Japanese sellers' listings are authentic so I'm not even trying to compare those!)

I did see that some have the HAC logo above the seam and others have it below.

But again, I just don't know which, if any, are legit.

Yes I know exactly what you're talking about, I can only find them from Japan with it below. I cannot find anything wrong with this bag personally that would make me think it's fake, I've been collecting for over 20 years but I also don't assume I know everything and this emblem mystery is driving me crazy. I appreciate any insight and help, truly. Thank you
