Thank you and be safe!

It may be ok but I'd really like to see the back half of the turnlock plate, and would also like the strap buckles checked front and back for any stampings. More opinions would also be welcome. It sounds like the strap was replaced.

There are no stampings on the buckles. Neither are there any stampings on the back of the turnlock plate.

Please authenticate this Stewardess? bag. The bag is about 10.5 inches wide and 10.5 inches deep. The strap is 55(!) inches long. The gromets are brass. I know this one is often faked. Thanks.

I think it looks good. The creed looks exactly right. The strap has been replaced. Stewardesses didn't come with super long straps. I can't think of a bag that came with a strap that long.

Thanks so much! This is the back of the turnlock:

It's probably fine. Next time, try not using flash. We are trying to make sure that the part where the prongs fold over is flat. Here is an example of a fake. You can see it indents around the prongs.

Please authenticate. I have never seen the charm version (outlet, right?) and was a little surprised that there is an eyelet through the fin. Also, do you have a style number if it is authentic?

The one in the photo is ok. It's always good to be careful though, we've seen some close fakes. Here's another real one, 92268.
Just thought I'd add to the conversation to show a (not as good as some) side by side comparison of how close some of the fakes are.

I apologize in advance for the fuzzy pictures but I used what I had to work with.

So far, I can't recall having seen a fake charm (yet) but it's not to say it hasn't been done. I will say I've seen many fake charms put onto genuine or fake hardware. So "caveat emptor" is appropriate.

Thank you both. I had the keychain comps in my files to compare so I was pretty sure it was real but not 100%.

Someone asked about a fake charm a few months ago - here's a side-by-side comparison. The fake has a smaller hole for the chain and a thinner ring for the chain to go through, a smaller eye, some differences in the length of the "spines" of the ventral or bottom fin, and especially in how much narrower the body at the base of the tail is. And the lower photo shows that there's no Coach stamp on the back of the fake charm either. I don't know if the fake was actually sold with a ball chain instead of a link chain and dogleash clip.

Here's the original post and reply, the auction listing was removed:

There are more pictures there for comparison. Notice the difference in how the edges are finished in those pictures too, the real one has a smooth edge but you can see the break between the top and bottom layers of the fake very clearly. Posts 6412 and 6435 from May 29, 2015 in case the links go wonky.

Good Labor Day everyone! Here is a small item for authentication. Do you know if it is real leather? Also if you know what it is called? I'm not sure if it is a key wallet or a change purse or what.

Item: Coach quilted CC patent leather key fob wallet
size: 4 1/2" x 3"
color is maroon or dark berry with light pink satin lining

It is real patent leather. It is authentic. It is a Gramercy op art patent mini skinny #42940.
