Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
• Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

It's also listed in Part 2 of the Daria48 Fake Numbers List published at Ebay. Under "Always Fake"-
4437-576 - this always-fake number is showing up in many 1980s and 1990s styles, even in bags with Bean Bag creeds. Every one so far has been fake, and it's a good example of what a fairly accurate fake Bean Bag creed and serial number look like - see my Guide on the latest "Bean Bag" information.

Wow that was fast! Thank you Hyacinth! I'm always impressed when you catch the fakes based on the serial numbers. There are so many! I can only remember the J8 and NT ones. Thanks again!

Measurements: about 10 x 11 x 4.5
I just purchased this bag and think it's fake but would like confirmation.

Yes, it's fake. There are silver grommets on the strap. There are grooves in the back of the turnlock. The creed font is wrong. Here are a couple of 1999 C plant creeds for comparison. Note especially the shape of the 9s.

Don't feel any sympathy for a fakes seller whose name gets posted here - anyone who deliberately lies about where they bought their "genuine" fake doesn't deserve any.

The end of the inside pocket zipper in the 4th picture is wrong. And I'm not sure WHAT the first digit of the serial number is supposed to be - looks like a "Q" to me - but it doesn't really matter since the entire serial font is wrong, so a fake month code is just another red flag on top of all the others. The back of the turnlock looks iffy too but it's too small to really be sure.

Seller seattlestyleblog has NO business even selling Coaches! Not only is s/he claiming that an item with a fake serial number and a Made In Korea stamp is genuine, but s/he is TOTALLY clueless about Bonnie Cashin, what she designed (LUGGAGE ??? REALLY ???) and when she collaborated with Coach. That bag looked like a ripoff of the Cabin Bag (I didn't notice the measurements but it looked like a 20-inch piece of luggage to me) which Coach didn't even introduce until late 1991, which was 17 years after Cashin parted company with Coach.

And the seller had the NERVE to ask almost 400 dollars for it! When they're talking those kind of prices, they'd better be DAMNED sure that what they're selling is exactly the way they're describing it.
