Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

I am in search of an authentication company that can provide me documentation stating the new without tags Coach bag I purchased off of eBay is a counterfeit. I need this documentation to proceed with a claim on eBay. I reached out to one of the Coach Facebook Groups and was given several suggestions but sadly, these companies only authenticate vintage bags, do not provide printed documentation stating the reasons why the bag is fake or have not responded to my email. I am in a bit of a time bind because I was on vacation when the bag arrived and my 30-day refund period is coming to an end.

I know the bag is fake because I have an identical bag that I purchased from Neimans. Thank you for any help in this matter.

I'm not comfortable recommending any authentication company especially for newer (styles from within the last 6 years) at this time. The one company I used to trust is no longer doing Coach and the newer fakes are too close for a novice to try authenticating.

I strongly recommend you post an authentication request with the information described in the highlighted yellow post at the top of the page. Include all required pictures and information.

Before accusing a seller of listing and selling a fake, it's advisable to verify that your suspicions are correct.

Once the item is verified as fake, I can advise on the next steps to take for a claim which you WILL win if it's counterfeit.

Hi! I appreciate all the folks helping with authentication on this thread, such a wealth of knowledge. I am hoping to sell this piece but I wanted to make sure it is authentic before putting it online. It is a MacDougal Zip in bottle green with tags, but the serial is making me nervous. I am trying to figure out if it might be 92-93, but the style is still stamped after the dash, only missing the 0. Any help would be appreciated.

Since I purchased this eBay bag as a gift and my original Coach Idol from Neiman's was in Ivory, I drove over to the Coach Store in Tampa and purchased my sister n Law a black Coach Idol. I am using the new bag I purchased to help show the differences between the eBay Coach Idol and the authentic Coach Idol from Coach. I appreciate your help as I am leaving on an Out-of-Town work assignment and will not be back home until after the 30-day refund period has expired.

The eBay bag is 1/4' shorter than then the authentic Coach Bag. The eBay Bag Tag chain is longer and color does not match the other hardware. The printing on the eBay tag does not match what is shown in the listing or on the authentic bag. The chain strap on the eBay bag is shorter than then the authentic bag and every other link is kidney bean shaped. Also, the eBay bag chain strap links are not closed properly. The inside of the eBay is a different color than the authentic bag and black outside is a bit lighter. Lastly, I do not think the body of the eBay bag is made from leather....it has a strong chemical smell and the texture is much more pronounced than the on the authentic bag.

I stupidly purchased this bag from this seller due to a recommendation from a person I admired in a Coach Collector's Group I belong to. They stated they purchased several bags from this seller and said they all arrived in good condition and were authentic. Sadly, the thought of saving $300.00 far outweighed my good judgement.

I uploaded pictures to show the differences between the two bags. The remainder of the pictures can be found on the original listing. The seller used a combination of stock photos and photos of the actual item. Please let me know if you need more pictures.

I question EVERY one of bibetos's listings. None have enough pictures nor are there clear pictures and my opinion is that the lack of quantity and quality of pictures is intentional.

I can't read the creed in the listing but in looking at the listing pictures and your pictures as well as other Coach listings (specifically the Mollie bags) and hopedia-indonesia sells fakes.

FOR YOUR RETURN AND REFUND:

• Go to the order page in your ebay.
• In the dropdown box, choose to "return this item"
• Choose one of the NAD (not as described) reasons. If there's a "counterfeit" or "doesn't seem authentic," choose that. If that reason isn't there, choose "not as pictured or described."
• You can add comments if you want
• You may be required to upload a picture to the claim. You can choose any of your pictures. (They don't check the pictures!)
• Submit
• The seller will have 72 hours to respond. She can issue a refund without requiring a return or she can pay for the return shipping label and you ship it back to the address on the ebay claim. (DO NOT SHIP TO ANY OTHER ADDRESS REQUESTED BY THE SELLER.)
• If the seller doesn't respond by the required deadline, you can go back to the claim and there'll be a new option to ask ebay to step in to resolve

If you and the seller are in different countries, the seller will have to send you money so you can purchase a shipping label. She has to do this BEFORE you pay for the label. (If you don't receive the money from the seller, it's unlikely that she'll reimburse you after the fact.)
