Hi! So I just thrifted this bag. I googled the number and the only thing that came up was this thread. Apparently someone had bought one on poshmark but no one knew the style name. I don’t know what the final result was but it was cheap so I bought it. I’m wondering if anyone has more info on it and if it is indeed authentic.
Location purchased: thrift store
Serial number: a7b 9097
Size: eyeballing it probably 14x11. I can take more precise measurements at home if needed.

Thank you!
It appears authentic. I've seen it before but I don't have a name for it.

Hi! Please authenticate these two court bags! Also, do you know what colors these are called? Should I be offering more for these than the black court bags that I bought? Thanks!

Both are authentic. They are rarer colors than black so most people feel they are worth more. Not only did they make fewer but fewer survived this long without getting stained and worn out. The light color was most likely called bone, the gray was either called grey or dark grey.

Thank you! I’ve been looking all over the internet trying to find a name for it but no luck. As long as it’s authentic I’m happy! I like the Willis but I feel it is a little too crammed - this bag will fit all my stuff perfect 🩷
There was discussion about that style several years ago and Hyacinth actually bought the one that was being discussed. (At that time, no one was able to ID it by name.)

Hi everyone - found this purse at a flea market this weekend and bought almost immediately - leather felt soft and worn it so I just assumed it was genuine. I've googled the number however it starts with a "T", which doesn't seem to have a corresponding month. Also, tried to use a leather conditioner and the color was bleeding off, so not sure if that's a normal occurance or a sign of a fake. Any help would be appreciated!

Item: Bedford Flap - Navy
Where purchased or how obtained: Flea Market
Comments: No. T4J - 4164 - haven't seen any navy versions of this bag online (only periwinkle), so I think it may be a fake.

Sorry but it's not authentic.

sad  but thank you. Is it the code starting with a "T" that made it obvious?
Yes, that's the most obvious problem. In the serial prefix, the J is another problem. Another problem is the J plant code which was a Chinese plant for making bags. The creed text is contradictory, claiming that the bag was made in the US.

Good to know - will def be keeping that in mind for the future, but probably going to live in blissful ignorance for now and pretend it's real for my own ego.
