The back of the leather as you describe it worries me.

How does the texture, weight and striped pattern of the lining compare to your others?

If you file for a return, you can always add a comment that you're willing to keep the bag but since the case is (fake or questionable), you don't expect to pay for that.

Some sellers are willing to issue partial refunds rather than pay return shipping and give a full refund when they can't resell the item.

ETA: Would you please post a link to the listing you purchased from shopsastores? I went through the sold listings and although I found other sold fakes, I didn't find the listing for the bag and skinny pouch you bought.

NEVER MIND: Found it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/395495565789

DO NOT buy items from sellers when the listing doesn't show creeds and/or other details that are necessary for authenticating the item.
Apologies for the delayed response—just saw this!

The weight was heavier, the ticking had the same coloring and pattern/pattern size, but the weave differed a good bit, the cartouche size and placement noticeably differed (though I don’t know whether that makes a difference), and the peeled corner’s look ultimately just made me too uneasy as well, so back it goes.

I did actually ask about doing a partial return, which they were open to. I’m waiting to hear if what I suggested for my partial refund is acceptable. They’re slower to respond, likely because I think one person is running the account and they’re not there all the time (this is Salvation Army).

They do have a mixed selling record, but since their return policy is so easy—I just get to return within 30 days if I select Item Is Not as Described, no questions asked, automatic return label—and since even though they always reply they are slow with messaging, I don’t always ask for the additional photos, especially if there isn’t much time left in the auction. I’ve bought a number of things from them that have been authentic, and the few that haven’t I’ve sent back without issue or complaint from them, and they haven’t tried to relist them, for whatever that’s worth l.

It’s far from a perfect situation, though, obviously! :/

Thank you again for your help! I always appreciate it.
