IMPORTANT READ-ME

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.
For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Then there are these two bags that were grouped together. They are the City and Ridgefield Bags I believe.

Thank you all so much!!

Item: City Bag in Brown (9927) and Ridgefield Bag in Brown (9812)
Listing number: n/a
International local forum
Link: A private group, can't link but attaching all the photos here.
Comments: In the 9927 creed I see a bulls-eye stamp in the corner, also not sure if/when these bags were made for factory sale.

Since most private group only allow members to view their listings, I will just say that the 2 bags in the photos are genuine. As long as you receive the exact bags that are in the photos you should not have a problem. Some Private groups cannot be trusted and do nothing to accurately authenticate their listings so we really prefer to know the names and where they are located.

ETA - We always urge extreme caution when buying in Private groups since many of them make it hard or impossible to get refunds if there is a problem with the item. We also prefer to check a seller's history.

The City Bag 9790 was made for the Factory outlet stores in 2004.

The Ridgefield Flap Bag was probably made for the full-price stores in 2001 and then transferred later to the Outlet stores.

Hi Authenticators!
Would love to hear your thoughts on if this crossbody I picked up at an estate sale is authentic. The creed is impossible to read and harder to photograph. I believe the serial number is J0D-9951.
Thanks so much!

Genuine, I believe it was called a Tribeca Shopper made in 1998

Also, please do not spend your time taking photos of the YKK on the zipper. The brand on the zipper has NO relation to whether or not the Coach is authentic. Wherever you found that information, please ignore it and any other information. from that source. That "myth" or "lie" about zipper brands has been known to be wrong for at least 20 years.

ACCURATE and CONFIRMED information about Coaches can be found below in the Salearea Guides researched, written and updated by one of this forum's members, please ignore any other so-called "authenticity guides".

Thank you so much! I am wary of private forums as well, it makes all the sense authentication wise. The 'forum' is essentially a WhatsApp group based in Peru (where I am from), my aunt has gotten two bags off there that she went on to go get authenticated at ~2-3 places to be sure. Turned out good for her; knowing the local market and all.
Nevertheless, feeling cautious.

Not sure if any of you all have ever dealt with groups like that. WhatsApp is used quite a bit in the Latin American regions, so other apps/groups may exist for other regions.

I've never heard of them. All three of our authenticators live in the US but I don't know what kind of experience @BeenBurned or @whateve have with private groups or selling sites outside the US.

Hello authenticators! I so appreciate you authenticating this vintage Coach Station bag when you get a chance. Not all heroes wear capes!

Item: Vintage COACH 5130 Station Bag
Listing number: n/a
Seller and site where listed: Houseofluxanne; poshmark.com
Link: https://poshmark.com/listing/Vintag...urse-Crossbody-Strap-66216617b3ef621e793e06bd

Notes: it looks like “variations” is hyphenated in the creed, which stood out to me as weird

The bag I was asking about has arrived. The leather feels really nice, it's black with burgundy interior and some burgundy leather inside as well. All the hardware feels sturdy, the zippers run smoothly. I don't know why but the pictures took forever to upload, so I'm going to link a Imgur album, I hope it's OK. Please let me know if any more are needed.
Album
I think it's fine.

Hello authenticators. Please authenticate this vintage coach when you get a chance. Many thanks for your time!

Item: Coach 9927
Listing number: n/a
Seller and site where listed: Paperspapers; Mercari.com
Link: https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m33...p_TTfqzBToHi4DiL-RFQ75FbNAxyGUmjeO_0KCVjpsblA
One of the reasons we require site and seller information is so we (or I) can check a seller's history.

Although the Willis you're asking about is authentic, the seller paperspapers does have at least one other listing that is a fake.
