Hi! Can an authenticator take a look at this coin purse please? If authentic, any idea of the style name? Is the style number accurate and does the "F" signify it as an outlet item? Is there a photo to share? Thanks for your help!

Item: Coach Coin Card Holder Key Brown Leather F53484
Listing number: 155946643263
Seller: Snowman420
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/155946643263
The leather mini skinny looks fine although I can't confirm that 53484 is the correct style number. The item is probably from the early to mid 2000s (2003-05) so I can't find any listings nor do I have a record of that specific item. I'm guessing the seller might have a tag or receipt from the purchase.

As for the style name, it was probably called "leather mini skinny" or "embossed leather mini skinny."

Regarding the "F" in front of the style number, it could (generally) mean one of two things, though in this case, the "F" indicates it was a MFF item. (That's known because of the outlet dot on the made in tag.)

There's another thing the "F" could mean. When boutique items were sent to the outlet, they sometimes switched out the tag and made a new tag at outlet level with "F" in front of the style number to indicate that even if the item was originally full-priced, this was an item that was transferred to and purchased from the outlet.

I would like to purchase this. I don't know if it's real? It's made in china with number style 09927. Is there a 0 in front if style number?

Let me know and thank you
Rea
It's a genuine Willis made in 2011.

ETA: Coach added the "0" in front of 4-digit styles in order to conform to the 5-digit style number format at the time it was made.

Wow - you ladies astound me with all of your knowledge and expertise of so many items! And the willingness to share it is very appreciated.

Since posting my request, further sleuthing turned up this case which I think might be the same style....with an attached tag! So could my request actually be style FS3484? If so, then what do the letter "S" mean? Sorry it's a PM listing.

That is absolutely it! (They did use "F" and "FS" on tags and a 5xxxx style number would have been way later than this mini skinny was made. It's 3484, as you found in the other listing!

ETA: And based on the tag shown, it's "small leather goods mini skinny"

With "FS" is the timeframe still 2003-2005 ish??
I just did a quick search in my records and found this tag. I got the item in 2008 (which is the date on my picture) but at the time, I think it had been a couple of years old.

(FS = factory store). I don't know if it included both MFF and boutique items.

Perhaps someone else might have additional dates/era information.

Dear team,
Hereby another request for your authenication support, as I increasingly realise your check has become almost a bare necessity. I scrolled through the other thread today with all the counterfeit references. The closing remark of @Hyacinth resonated with me: old vintage are increasingly becoming counterfeited too, going with the trend. I thought that would be a relative safe era, but now I realise it isn't.

I did buy the bag already, fell in love with its red and would like to bring it back in shape. I am able to return when fake, and will. This will be registered by Vinted.

Here it is:
Seller: mikinora
The pictures are the seller's, from the ad.

Cheers!

It seems to me that the FS tags were used when the original tag was lost and the store had to make a new tag in the store.

Bought this at a thrift store. They believed it to be a tote or diaper bag. The creed has no number and I cannot find any white serial tag. The bottom of the bag is about 13 inches across and the bag is appx 11 inches high. I took a chance because I really need a tote for things. I'm wondering if it's truly Coach or a fake. Thanks.
